It would seem likely that species bearing names like wardii, florindae or macklinae were linked with him in some way (being named after himself and his wives Florinda Norman-Thompson and Jean Macklin). but not nescessarily named by him.The naming authority is usually someone who didn't mind staying at home cataloguing all the material which Frank brought back while he went off on another jaunt, which is handy because it means he could have so many plants named after him without being accused of immodesty.
