HERE COMES

Here come bubbles soft and warm
A bundle stirs in Mommy’s arm
Searching snuggling wrapped up tight
Strange new cries heard in the night
Here come toys and tiny shoes
Precious smiles and baby’s coos
Rolling over, creep and crawl
Little hand prints on the wall
Here comes high chair, potty seat
Jars of mushy stuff to eat
Wobbly first steps, safety gates
Cleaning messes he creates
Here comes chasing through the store
Your saying “NO” His saying “MORE”
“Five little monkeys,” nursery rhymes
Staying close by as he climbs
Here come school days, homework, pets
Baseball gloves and fishing nets
Driver’s license, nights out late
Bringing home that special date
Here comes Wyatt fully grown
With a child of his own
Dedicated to my new grandson, Wyatt.
