Myrtle Elizabeth has passed from us and we rejoice in her heavenly birth.
At night you will look up at the stars. This is where Myrtle now lives
Everything is so small that we cannot show you where her star is to be found.
It is better, like that. Myrtle's star will be just one of the stars, for all of us.
And so we will love to watch all of the stars in the heavens.
They will all be our friends. We know Myrtle will be watching over us.

It would be impossible to completely to describe Myrtle in words.
Though many words do come to mind when thinking of her.

One word would be perfect.

Myrtle Scott was the world's most beautiful person. She brought happiness into the lives
of everybody she touched, with her smile, laugher, and many life stories.
When you were around myrtle you knew what is was liked to be loved.

Bill Scott saw that the first day her met Myrtle in 1939. In 1944 Myrtle and Bill wed and began their long
journey as a loving couple. In the early years Bill found a parcel of land in West Hill
where Myrtle and he built a home ,with thier own hands, which they would spend the next 57 years in.

Myrtle and Bill's love never wavered. They were the sparkle in each other's eye.
They were best freinds, they were lover's. They were each other's pillar of strength.
With every passing day and breath their love grew stronger.

Myrtle chose motherhood as her life's work. A caregiver for 6 beautiful children,
Linda, John, Steve. Bill, Trish and Sue. A wife and best friend to Bill.
A grandmother to Paul, Rhianna, Melissa, Robyn, Patrick, Katlin, Jonathan,Jessica, Sarah.
No one could ask for a better wife, mother and grandma.

Myrtle was a magnificent gardener. Her life long labour of love began at
a early age as a girl growing up on a farm in Highland Creek. Myrtle's Garden at her home on
Beechgrove consists of thousands of plants that she had grown from seed and
nurtured to maturity. Her garden expanded year after year. Many friends and even strangers would come to
admire her hard work. Her efforts were even regconized in 2000 with the Trillium Award, which is a
prized honour for anyone who is a gardner in Toronto. Mom didnt start gardening to win any awards.
She created her little piece of heaven on earth, because she loved what she was doing.

Being in the company of Myrtle was pure joy. She was a very freindly woman with a great sense of humour. Never one to lose her temper. In her own words "i am a lover not a fighter". Myrtle was a sports fan, and really loved her "blue jay's" even when they were not playing at the top of their game.

If only all sports fans could be as gracious as Myrtle.

Myrtle witnessed many of the great changes of the twentieth century.
Many of the things we take for granted today did not exist at the time of her birth and
throughout her early life. We should all give thanks to the people of her generation that helped
to shape the world we live into today.

Although Myrtle Elizabeth Scott is no longer physically with us it is because of her life
long sacrafices that we are here today to remember and celebrate the life of
this wonderful woman, and beautiful soul. The true meaning of success in life is to be loved.
By looking around today at everyone attending this celebration of her life. it is very obbvious
she was a success in her life.

We love you Myrtle Elizabeth. We miss you mom.
We will not get over your passing, you will always remain in our hearts.
