As an EIT, I am seeking an opportunity where I can gain the experience necessary to become recognized as a professional engineer.  As an engineer with a real commitment to transportation engineering, and several years of overseas experience (in Japan) followed by a Master’s degree from Ryerson University, I hope to find a challenging opportunity where I can make a contribution in a company that is a leader in Transportation Planning and Traffic Design.

  • Conducted and organized in-depth study of safety at 70 signalized intersections in Toronto.
  • Assembled data from City of Toronto traffic volume files and from police accident reports, sketches and written descriptions.  Organized data collection team to obtain data from field surveys at the intersections.
  • Developed crash risk models for side impact crashes at signalized intersections.  The models were based on the relationship between distribution disturbances and driver perception-reactions time.
  • Proposed countermeasures to reduce the number of side-impact crashes; published results in conferences.
