CHAPTER 14

"-Elizabeth--
-You know what? She said, turning arouund to face him. Of all the people, I never thought you would be that cruel with me!
-If you would just--
-Did you really think I would move in wwith you? I love Manny, with all my heart, but I don't think I could live seeing you and Sarah together. My God Lucky, you must think I'm pretty stupid!
-Elizabeth, Sarah isn't with me
-I'm not blind. What did you promise hher for her to accept me taking care of Manny during the day? And did you think you could jump my bones in the afternoon and jump hers at night? I don't think so!
-Sit down, please. He saw she resistedd, so he pulled on her arm. SIT DOWN. Now, he said after she was sitting in front of him. I am not that cruel. It would be like if you asked me to move in with you and Nikolas. Sarah is gone. She left this morning for Europe and she left me with Manny. I can't give him back to you. She gave me soul custody of Mandel as long as he stays with me. If I take him back to the Hardy household, I lose all my rights to him. I had no choice but to accept. Although, there isn't anything that says you can't come and live with us.
-Ok, I understand all of that. But youu are still married Lucky. And I'm not delusional, I know you won't be able to keep yourself in your own room, and don't get me wrong, nor will I, but I won't be your mistress.
-I'm not asking you to be! Lucky coulddn't help but laugh. Sarah and I split up.
-You did? Why?
-I'm impotent.
-Come again? Elizabeth choked
-You didn't know? One night, in the liine of duty, I took a bullet right in the groin. Since that day, I haven't been able to make love to anyone, including my ex-wife. Sarah said it wasn't a problem, she said that on our wedding night, but the more time passed, the more she was getting frustrated. So she decided she was too young to spend her life without any physical relations, so we got our marriage invalidated. I told her what the doctor said, that the situation could change at any time, one month, one year, 10 years, but maybe, one day, it will be back to normal. But she didn't want to wait, so she signed a paper, saying that if I ever come back to normal, she won't try and make our marriage validated again.
-Lucky that is a big fat lie! Elizabetth answered, laughing. I know you aren't impotent, I felt it that night in my room.
-Did you really think I would sleep witth Sarah? No offense, she's your sister, but just the thought of it wanted to make me gag. I knew she wouldn't stand for it, so she left. She didn't really wanted Manny either, so I told her I would keep him."

Elizabeth still couldn't believe it. Lucky had legal custody of Manny, but he wasn't allowed to give him back to her. He thought this whole elaborate plan to have him, nearly killed her heart in the process, but the result was the same. Manny was still in Port Charles and Sarah was history.

"-You know, Lucky, I could just have taken Sarah to court
-Yes I know, but if you lost the case, you would've lost Manny, too. I knew Sarah just wanted to hurt you, she doesn't care about the boy. You do. So I did what I had to do. Now, like I said, the only way for you to be with him, is to move in with us as the nanny.
-The nanny? She asked, disappointed, bbut didn't let it show.
-Don't worry, you will have your own rooom. I bought a little house, there are three bedrooms. Now, I know that Manny is legally my son, but I will leave the education to you, you did a good job since he was born. I won't butt in
-That's great! Can I move in tonight? I could take Alek with me, and we could watch a movie with the kids or something
-Sure, let me go and get the boys, and I'll take you home. Take only what you need, cause your room is already furnished."

Lucky went inside to get the boys. He found them at the counter. Tammy smiled at him and the boys turned around. Their mouths were covered with chocolate and whipped cream. Lucky ate their cherries, getting them to whine, and he took Manny under one arm, Alek under the other, and went out. He sat them in his car, opened the door for Elizabeth and went to the Hardy's house. She packed her bags, all of her stuff in the bathroom, her make-up, and of course, Boris. She decided she could get the rest another day. The boys took the bags in the trunk of the car, and took place again in the car. Elizabeth was on the porch, looking at the two boys in the car. She felt Lucky's arms lock around her waist, his head on her shoulder.

"-They are cute, aren't they? He asked
-Yeah they are. We could almost pretennd they are ours. Elizabeth blushed. Don't I feel like an idiot for saying that out loud
-Don't. I was actually thinking the saame thing"

Lucky slowly took his arms from around her, and walked to the car, punching the window, getting the boys to jump. Before he opened his door, Lucky looked at Elizabeth and smiled.

"-Coming mom?"

Elizabeth laughed and got in the car. They sang all the way to the house, silly songs, and everyone was in a good mood. Lucky stopped for pizza, and the boys took the bags up to Elizabeth's room. Manny sat on the bed when Elizabeth came in. He had the biggest smile on his face. Elizabeth sat next to him and took him in her arms. Lucky, once again, saved her from hell. Manny wiggled out of her reach and ran downstairs, so he could eat pizza. She was looking around the room, and wondered how long it would be hers.

"-Hey, the pizza's getting cold, you coming'? Asked Lucky, poking his head in the doorway
-Yeah, I'm coming"

The evening was pleasant. They played games, watched a movie, then they got the boys ready for bed. They were so cute, in their spider-man pajamas, all tucked in. Lucky kissed them both on the forehead, and stayed in the doorway as Elizabeth read them a story. Finally, Lucky went downstairs to wash the dishes, that were pilling up in the sink. Elizabeth watched him for a while, before coughing to let him know she was there. Lucky quickly turned around and smiled at her.

"-Hey there baby doll. Grab a dish cloth
-No way, she laughs.
-Hey you will be living off of me, the least you could do is take care of the cleaning
-You are such a macho!
-Me? No, I'm realist!"

Lucky took some bubbles in his hands and plastered them on Elizabeth's face" she did the same and pretty soon they were both covered in water and soap from head to toe. Lucky was laughing, and the floor was soaked.

"-I guess this is your first job as I take a shower, he said, running away from her and up the stairs.
-SMARTY PANTS! She yelled as she lookeed for the mop"

Lucky didn't go back down, he wanted to see what she would do. He let her know he was out of the shower, but he was going in his room. He sat on his bed and took his guitar. He wanted to let her know how he felt about her, without actually saying it. Liz told him she was still in love with him, but he didn't know how to tell her. Lucky didn't even know what he wanted. Did he just wanted to make love to her, to ease all these feelings he was having, or did he want more, a relationship with her again? He sighed and started to sing.

Lucky stopped as he heard a knock on his door. He slowly opened it and found Elizabeth, dressed on a pajama pants and an over-sized tee-shirt.

"-I just came to wish you good night. Elizabeth said, her heart still racing from the song.
-Want me to tuck you in? He asked withh a smile
-Sure, I'm scared when I sleep in a neww home"

Lucky slowly followed her to her room, and waited as she got under the covers.

"-Dreams of gold, he said as he walked to the door
-No fair! Alek and Manny had good nighht kisses, why can't I?"

Lucky came back to the bed and lowered himself to give her a kiss on the cheek. He didn't want to do anything she didn't want him to do. Before his lips kissed her skin, she turned her head around and kissed his lips. He kissed her back, and she threw her arms around his neck, pulling him on her. He let himself go, landing on top of her, as her tongue made her way in his mouth. She backed away, only to whisper in his ear;

"-There is no stopping us this time"
