Chapter 12

Elizabeth was ready to go to bed. Both Nikolas and Lucky offered their beds, but Elizabeth asked Lucky if she could sleep in his bed, with him. He was a little surprise, but that was her choice, he didn't have to heart — or the will— to say no. He wanted her there. Ever since she slept in his arms that night in the cabin, he was aching to feel her warm body against his again. Not to make love to her, but just to hold her close to his heart.

They were laying side by side, Lucky hand was playing in Elizabeth's hair. They were talking about anything, everything, like there was no tomorrow. Lucky was fixing her lips. He wanted to kiss them, endlessly. Like she read his thoughts, Elizabeth stopped talking in a middle of a sentence and kissed him gently. He put his hand around her waist and kissed her passionately. She opened her mouth a little and Lucky felt lightning going through his spine. He never thought he could be turned on so fast just by a kiss and yet, he wanted her so much it was hurting. She was responding to his kisses with the same passion, the same need to belong. They were both estranged from their family, alone in a world of stranger.

Lucky was beginning to caress her, wanting to feel her, needing to feel her. She was responding by kissing him more passionately, and she was caressing him too. He was feeling her skin against his hand, as he was caressing her tights. She was wearing boxers with one of his t-shirts. She was pulling on his, for him to take it off, and he was happy to oblige. She could not get enough of his skin, of his muscles, of his body.

"-Do you think you could give me my t-shirt back? He said, catching his breath

-But it's on the floor. Oh you mean this one?"

She sat on the bed, and took her shirt off. Lucky was about to go crazy. He wanted to touch her, he wanted HER. She leaned forward and laid on him, kissing him, caressing him. They wouldn't be interrupted this time, and he wouldn't chicken out. He was in love with her, he would be with her for the rest of his life, why wait?

They heard a knock on the door and Nikolas, on the other side, saying he was going to bed. Lucky answered "Okay" with Liz's mouth still on him. He heard his brother chuckle on the other side and heard "good night you two", making Lucky smile.

Lucky didn't get much sleep that night, Elizabeth didn't want him to. When they were complete for the first time, Lucky wanted to die right there, because he was sure he'd never experience anything more beautiful as long as he lived.

They were so in sync he nearly cried and he knew Elizabeth did. He never wanted to leave her, but he did, only to have her asking for more. When Lucky woke up the next morning, Elizabeth was already out of bed and ready to go. He looked at the clock and jumped. 11:35 already. Elizabeth quickly kissed him, saying she couldn't be late for her first "date" with her mom. Even though she didn't admit it, Lucky knew she was excited about it, and he was hoping she wouldn't be disappointed.

Elizabeth arrived at Kelly's with 5 minutes in front of her. Alexis was not there yet. Carolyne smiled at her from the counter and Liz waved at her. She didn't want to get her hopes up. Even though Alexis seemed to really like her, and seemed anxious to talk to her, Elizabeth knew, before Lucky, no one ever loved her for her. She was a no good, and Alexis would find that out soon enough. Finally, Liz saw her alleged mother walk through the door and she was looking for her. Elizabeth smiled and waved, and Alexis joined her at the table.

"-Sorry I'm late

-By 2 minutes, it's ok

-You look lovely today

-Thank you, so do you

-I'm sorry, I'm nervous, that's why I'm making small talk

-Well, I'm kinda nervous too. Lucky wanted to come along for moral support, but I told him that it was about you and me today, no one else. Is that ok?

-It's better than ok, although, I like the way he seems to take care of you. I saw him yesterday when he put his hand on your shoulder, to show he was there. Compassion, that is hard to find in a man

-Well, Lucky's perfect so everything a woman looks for, he's got it.

-You really love him don't you?

-With my heart and soul"

Alexis took a deep breath and smiled at Elizabeth. She still couldn't believe her daughter was sitting in front of her. That the little girl she gave away was now 16 years old. She started talking about how it was living with Helena, the way she always treated Alexis as a parasite. Elizabeth could relate because that was how she was treated at the Webbers'. Alexis wiped a tear from her eyes, as she told Elizabeth about the night she gave her up. About why she had to. She didn't even knew her daughter and was crying over the fact that she had to be separated from her to save the child's life. Elizabeth was only a few weeks old at the time, and Alexis said it was the hardest decision she ever faced. Without Helena she had no money, no place to go, no one to turn to. Alexis was only 18 years old at the time. Elizabeth wiped the tears from her eyes. How could she ever doubt that her mother could not love her? Finally, Liz took the courage to ask:

"-What about my father? Did you know him?

-I was in love with him. And he was in love with me. Met him at the university where I was a freshman, he was a senior. But he was a prince and already engaged to some princess he didn't love. That's royal family for you. Our affair lasted until his dad found out, and threaten to take his place as king away from him. So he told me he couldn't see me anymore, but I was already pregnant with you. He didn't know about until two days ago. I called him, and told him everything. He was mad at me, for not asking his help, but it's all in the past now. He said that if you really are his daughter, he wants to meet you, if you wish to meet him. He will even give you your title

-My title?

-You are the daughter of a king, if you are my daughter, so that makes you a princess

-WHAT? Shouted Elizabeth, getting up and spilling everything on the table"

Alexis couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Carolyne arrived with a cloth, to take care of the mess. Elizabeth sat down, but still couldn't believe. She felt like Anastasia, and Lucky was her Dimitri.

"-Elizabeth, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. Said Alexis, with a smile

-That's ok, it's not everyday you learn you might be royalty.

-I know. When I learned that Mikkos was my father, and that I was too, a princess, I had the same reaction.

-So both way I am a princess?

-Yes, but the Cassadines only acknowledge the first born of the first born. Since Stefan is older than me and that Stavros was older than Stefan, Nikolas' royalty and yours are not taken into consideration. Stefan and mine were not either.

-How rude! Liz said with a smile"

Elizabeth didn't care about her royalty. She found the best treasure, her mother. Alexis wanted her in her life. She wanted to know her. Not because she was obligated, but because she loved her. They decided to go to GH and get blood test but they both knew the truth.

"-I think the tests are not really necessary, said Alexis. I know you are my daughter. My whole body knows it, my mind knows it too. I know it's silly but I just know.

-It is not stupid. Around you, I feel like home. The only other person I feel like that with is Lucky, but he is my soul mate. With you both, I feel complete.

-I feel the same way about Ned. We connected on so many level, kind of like I did with Sergei, your father

-Can I ask you something?

-Anything you want

-What was my birth name?

-You really want to know? Ok, It was Kristina Kurikov.

-Kristina. That is so pretty. "

They talked about everything else. They had been talking for two hours when Alexis asked Elizabeth if she wanted to go to GH now, to get it official. Elizabeth smiled and said "let's go". Outside, Alexis asked her how she got to Kelly's and Liz answered that she walked.

"-You have your license? Asked Alexis

-Yeah, but no car

-Well on the way to GH, you can drive

-REALLY?

-Sure, here are the keys"

Bobbie was surprise to see them and completely shocked by Alexis' request. But, her being the sister of the hospital's CEO, it got done and fast. Bobbie told them they would have the results the next day, and that she would call. Alexis took Elizabeth home. That was enough emotions for one day. Alexis promised to call the girl as soon as they had the results. Elizabeth smiled when she entered Lucky's apartment. She couldn't wait to tell him what she found out!
