Chapter 15

Lucky got out of his room and looked at his brother for his opinion. He was wearing a pair of black jeans, a white shirt and a black tie. He was looking fine and Nikolas told him it was perfect. Lucky left a couple of minutes later to go get Elizabeth. Her father was supposed to pick them up in less than half an hour and when he got to her house, she wasn't ready, so he waited in the living room, talking with Sarah. Still hadn't forget that she tried, once again, to break he and Elizabeth up, and was actually planning his next move. He would get back at her for that, but he had to find a way not to hurt Nikolas in the process, he had nothing to do with Lucky's vengeance on Sarah. Elizabeth walked down the stairs, more beautiful than he had ever seen her. His heart was about to stop, when she kissed him hello. She had the most beautiful little red dress, and her hair was up. Like he knew she was ready, Sergei ran the doorbell, and Sarah answered. It was the first time she was meeting Elizabeth's father, and the girl was in shock. Lucky knew the feeling, he still couldn't believe how much the father and daughter looked alike. Sergei said hi to Audrey and the trio left. Elizabeth wanted to go to the Outback but Lucky wanted the PC grill. Sergei decided the PC grill, and Elizabeth understood why when they arrived. Alexis was waiting for them. It was weird to see the two of them together, obviously thrilled to see each other, but embarrassed to show how much.

Lucky held Elizabeth's chair while she sat down, and Sergei did the same for Natasha. Sergei started talking first, saying how happy he was to see his daughter smiling. He talked about all the mixed feelings he had when Natasha called him, all the thoughts that went through his head. Alexis was the one who talked after, saying how happy she was to have found Elizabeth, and to see how much she was happy with Lucky. Alexis talked about how she didn't like Lucky at first, him being the son of a long time enemy of her family, but Sergei said that it was all in the past and Lucky laughed. Elizabeth was the one who talked next. She said how lost she felt when she realized her "parents" had lied to them all her life, but she couldn't be happier now, because Sergei and Natasha was better than Jeff and Madeline, and they made her feel more love in less than a week than her "parents" did all her life. Lucky wasn't saying much, he was just enjoying Elizabeth's company, realizing how close he came to losing her. He answered Sergei's questions, but not more than that.

Lucky stayed over at Elizabeth's after Sergei dropped them off. Elizabeth said they needed to talk. Lucky sat on her bed, nervous, when she sat besides him and started kissing him passionately.

"-Thank you, he said, but what was it for?

-Just been dying to kiss you all evening. Now, I have something to run by you

-Start running

-Remember the little Eleanor? I babysit her sometimes? Well, her mother is having a birthday party for her, and I'm the magician. But we still need a clown

-No way, nah-han, don't even think about it.

-Oh come on Lucky? It will be fun. Besides, I already told her you'd be there

-I can't, I have plans that day

-You don't even know when it is. Didn't you say you would do anything I say as long as I take you back? Consider this payback Spencer

-I always knew you'd make a clown out of me but OK, you got it, I'll go."

Elizabeth clapped her hands in victory. She knew he'd say yes, even without the threat. He would do anything for her, he was just a big grouchy bear. The day of the party, Lucky was running late. Well, he was doing everything in his power to be late. Elizabeth came to pick him up on time, and he wasn't ready. She started lecturing him about the importance of this party for Eleanor, and he hurried it up.

Elizabeth started regretting bringing Lucky went she saw Eleanor's older sister, Kim, turning around Lucky. Kim was 17 years old and never in her life heard the word no say to her. Elizabeth started babysitting after Kim decided she didn't want to take care of her baby sister, and now, she was around Lucky like a bee around a flower. Lucky was looking like he was having a good time with her, laughing and smiling. Elizabeth was jealous, so jealous. She didn't mind Lucky having girl friends but she knew Kim, and never Kim talked to a guy if she didn't want him. And she sure looked like she wanted Lucky!

"-Excuse me Kim, but I have work to do, Lucky said, while Elizabeth was looking at him from afar.

-Oh sure, I know, just thought I could help you, Kim answered

-Nope, you can't help me, but thanks anyway, he replied with the biggest smile"

Lucky couldn't wait for her to get away. She was getting on his nerves, but couldn't do nothing about it. She was always on his tails, talking about clothes and stuff she had in her room, stuff he didn't care about, but he couldn't tell her to go to hell. Girls like her always got on Lucky's bad side, and he wished Elizabeth would come to his rescue soon, but she was just smiling at him from the other side of the room.

"-A bunch of friends are catching a movie tonight, Kim said, would you like to come along?

-I'm sorry, I don't think my girlfriend would like me going on a date with another girl.

-Your girlfriend? Who is she?

-Elizabeth..... the magician?

-She's your girlfriend?

-Yeah why? Is that so hard to believe?

-Well, I just thought that you were single, she never talked about you when she was babysitting

-Elizabeth doesn't mix her job and personal life

-Then what are you doing here?"

Lucky must admit she backed him into a corner. He didn't know why Elizabeth never talked about him, probably because she didn't like Kim, but what to say now?

"-Well, I owed her something, and she asked me to do that for Eleanor, and I agreed. Now, If you'll excuse me"

Lucky tried to get away, for the sixth time, but Kim followed him again. He was about to tell her to leave him the hell alone when Elizabeth showed up beside him. She gave him a quick kiss and smiled at him. She told him they could be out of here in an hour and, right in front of Kim, Lucky asked her to do something afterwards, just the two of them. Elizabeth saw the rage in Kim's eyes, and thought that she would do troubles. Not again! Why weren't they able to live their lives without always having to deal with a crisis? Lucky was finally able to get out of the stupid clown costume and go home with Elizabeth.

Sergei was waiting for them, sitting with Nikolas and drinking a glass of iced tea. Elizabeth found herself kissing her father without even realizing it. Sergei told them he was here to say good-bye. Time for him to go back to his kingdom, but asked Elizabeth and Lucky if they would come and visit him sometimes. Elizabeth was thrilled that he wanted to see her again, and accepted the invitation for the summer. Lucky was happy too, even though he wouldn't be spending the summer there like Liz wanted to. He had a job here, he couldn't just take off for two months! He would miss Elizabeth like crazy, but he was a man of his word.

Sergei and Elizabeth had a sad good-bye, and the girl reached for Lucky's arms, crying, when the King finally left. She would miss him terribly. In only a couple of days, she grew attached to him like no one before and since Lucky. Even with Alexis, who she loved dearly too, she didn't feel the same connection she did with her father. Lucky was playing in her hair, saying it was only two months before she'd see him again and that he would do everything in his power so that the time flew by her.
