"Yes, my son. Although I am not talking about Nikolas, but about Lucky," Stefan answered coldly, stepping closer to Laura.
"I don't know what you are talking about," Laura answered and tried to retreat into the kitchen, only to be stopped by her guest.
"You know damn well what I am talking about, Lasha," Stefan answered, for the first time in a long time using the name she despised. "When you left the island with the promise to return, you were pregnant. Don't bother denying it, because I've known all along. I had hoped that this child would bring you back to me, like you promised, but instead, you gave my son for Luke to raise. Why?"
"I DON'T KNOW WHY!" Laura answered, desperate. Tears started to fall down her cheeks and she looked at Stefan with pleading eyes. "Look, all I remember is being in Luke's arms. At that point, nothing else mattered. You had Luke's son, so why does it matter that he had yours?"
"WHAT DOES IT MATTER?" Stefan yelled. He couldn't help but lose his temper. "WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS HERE, LASHA! LITTLE BOYS WITH FEELINGS, AND MEN WHO DESERVED THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN!"
"Stop that, you are scaring me," Laura said in a small, scared voice
"GOOD!" Stefan said before his fist hit the table. "How do you do it? How can you stand here, in this living room, and tell me that you could not trust me because I had lied about poisoning my mother. All while, you denied me the right to mourn my son as I should have, to know my son as I should have. I always thought that Luke was the strongest Spencer I would ever have to defeat. I see now that I was wrong," he added, before walking to the door.
"Where does that leave us?" asked Laura, as she followed him to the door. "My feelings for you haven't changed, Stefan. I love you"
"And I despise you," Stefan answered. "I cannot, I will not, look into your eyes and believe anything you say ever again. You have hurt us for the last time, Laura. I will make sure that you can never hurt us again." Stefan answered.
"Who's us?" Laura inquired, her voice breaking from the falling tears and unstoppable sobs.
"You lies cannot destroy a lifetime of love and mutual trusts. I do not care what DNA or a paternity test says. Nikolas is still my son, and I will make sure that he is protected from you. And you can be sure that you will never be allowed near my sons, both of them, again."
Laura's whole body trembled at the force with which Stefan slammed the door shut. "Why was Stefan mad, mommy?" She heard from the door and turned around to see her precious daughter standing in the doorway leading to the kitchen. "Stefan isn't really mad, honey, he'll come back, he always does"

"Are you sure about this Luke?" Asked Alexis after she let his declaration sink in.
"Yes, I am. She lied to Nikolas and Lucky their whole lives about who their fathers were. I don't want my daughter to grow up like that. I know that I'm far from being an angel, but I know that you are the best attorney friendship can buy, and I know that if anyone can win this, it's you. So what do you say, partner?" Luke asked with the smile he knew Alexis could never resist.
"Best attorney friendship can buy?" Alexis asked with a raised eyebrow. "Do you think I'm cheap? No way, and I'll probably charge you double because I will have to put up with you and you are a major pain in my butt!"
"And what a cute butt it is," Luke flirted, trying to make her smile, and trying to get her to say she would give him a reason to live. "Come on, Alexis, I know that you have never liked my wife, and this is the golden opportunity to make her sweat. Think about it. You could harass her mercilessly and not worry about her filing a complaint against you, since she would be sitting right next to a judge!"
"That does sound appealing, when you say it like that," Alexis agreed, slowly rubbing her chin with a smile forming on her face. "All right, you're on!"
"All right!" Luke laughed and reached to give her a hug. "That's my Cassadine!"
"But I was serious about charging you double!" Alexis laughed and returned the hug gracefully. "But this is unacceptable, you know, this could become a conflict of interest. I could be disbarred," she teased him, her body still close to his.
"No, I haven't given you a retainer yet, have I?" Luke asked, his heart beating as his head made its way to hers, and his lips met hers in a simple, but tender, kiss, while her arms circled his neck tenderly.
***************
"What do you mean, you are a Cassadine?" Asked a dumb-founded Nikolas
"Just what I said," Lucky answered. "My mother, well, our mother, was pregnant with Stefan's child when she left the island."
"But maybe she lost the baby. I mean, just because she was pregnant with Stefan's child, that doesn't mean that you are that child"
"You see, that's what I thought," Lucky answered seriously. "But with the look my dad, I mean Luke, had on his face, I think some things about my birth finally made sense to him. I don't know. I mean, I guess some things finally make sense to me, too," Lucky confessed and Nikolas saw the veil of hurt pass over his brother's eyes.
"Are we talking about the why you left for so long?" Nikolas asked, hoping his brother wouldn't chew his head off.
"Some of it," the younger brother agreed with a sigh. "I mean, I know Luke would've done things some way, and I didn't have the guts to do it. You know how Spencers have a certain way to act, right? You said it yourself that it was the Spencer attitude, or code, or whatever you called it. Well, I failed that code, and I was wondering why, you know? I would lay awake at night, wondering what my dad, you know, Luke, would've done. I was thinking about doing it, but I didn't have the guts. Because of that, I was feeling guilty, thinking that Luke would be ashamed of me. But now it all makes sense. I couldn't act like a Spencer because I'm not a Spencer, I'm a blood sucking Cassadine!"
"Hey, back off the Cassadine insults little brother, I might not be one anymore, but it is still my last name, and I still care deeply for the man who raised me." Nikolas said seriously.
"The way I see it, I have two choices. Either I joke about it, or pull my hair out. Now, since I don't wanna look like Luke so soon in my life, joking is the only thing left for me. And it's funny, but you never took those Cassadines comments to heart when you were one, but now that you are a Spencer, you feel insulted by them. Tell me how is that possible?" Lucky teased his brother.
"What can I say, I've always said Spencers were weird, and now that I am one, it's in the code to be weird, isn't it?" Nikolas shot back with a smirk.
"I hope Luke's attitude towards me won't change," Lucky said, suddenly serious. "I mean, when I was away, I couldn't wait to come back, for my family, for Elizabeth. But now, I find out that my family isn't my family. I'm disowning my mother for lying to me for the 5th time. I don't have a mother anymore, and I'm hoping that Luke won't be the one disowning me as his son"
"Luke wouldn't do that, because he loves you," Nikolas assured his brother. "Luke will always love you. Even though there is a chance you might not be his flesh and blood, he won't turn his back on you." As Nikolas finished his speech, the doorbell rang and both guys turned towards the door. "Who could that be?" Nikolas asked and Lucky smiled.
"The only way to know it is to open the door Sherlock. We Cassadines have to tell you Spencers everything, don't we?" Lucky teased and Nikolas shot him his best ‘mad' look before he opened the door, letting Stefan come in.
"Oh good, you are both here," Stefan said, looking at Lucky. "I need to speak with you, in private."
