> Luke walked around a little until he found a cab and called for it. He took his son to one of the most expensive hotel and Lucky smiled. What was his father up to now? They walked to the desk and Luke took his wallet out.
"-Mr Stefan Cassadine called last week to make a reservation for Luke Spencer, all expenses paid on his personal credit card?
-Of course Mr. Spencer, I have it rightt here, Mr. Cassadine said you would be coming in today. All you have to do is fill out this form and everything will be billed to Mr. Cassadine's card.
-Thank you. Luke said as he filled thee form. There you go
-Suite #1276, a bell boy will take yourr luggage upstairs. The lady said as she gave them each a card for the door. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us
-I'm sure we will. Come on Cowboy"
As they were walking towards the elevator, Lucky turned to his father and smiled.
"-How did you get Stefan to agree to pay for this trip?
-I didn't, I just cloned his credit carrd, and made one for me see? Luke took out a credit card made out to Luke Spencer but with Stefan's credit card numbers on it. By the time he gets the bill, he has so much that he won't even noticed and ever if he does? I stole millions from him a couple of years ago, what's a couple of thousands?"
Lucky was still snickering when they arrived to the suit but it took his breath away. Luke was holding an un-lit cigar and was looking pretty impressed, too.
"-My, the bloodsucker goes all out when he comes out here, this is his usual suite!
-Man I could get used to this kind of rroom, Lucky answered, looking around.
-Hey Cowboy, check out the view!"
While they looked at the beautiful sky, or the streets below, they didn't see someone they knew all too well walking next to someone else, her head down and looking at the sidewalk with her face hidden by a light scarf.
"-Come on, let's go take a walk, and get the feeling of this City. Luke told his son before they backed away from the window, unaware that Elizabeth just entered the building in front of them"
Luke was walking, his cigar between his fingers, looking around with an attentive eye. After they had been walking for a while he suddenly stopped and kneeled down, putting his hand on the pavement, letting his fingers run across the cold cement.
"-Don't try and tell me that you are feeling something old man, Lucky said in disbelief
-What? No, I'm not that weird, I just wanted to touch Clint Eastwood's star"
They continued their walk slowly, Luke looking around, but he didn't know what he was looking for. The problem was, he was used to run from people, not find them. His son was counting on him to bring back the love of his life un-harmed, but how was he suppose to do that if he didn't even know where to look?
Lucky was walking next to his father, and he had a strange feeling. Like, deep down inside, he knew Elizabeth was near. She wasn't far from him, he just knew it. Where though? The city was big and there was thousands of places where she could be held, and by who? That was the biggest challenge. They had no idea where to look, because they had no idea who had her. They couldn't figure out the reason, so thinking ahead of the psycho was not possible.
"-So what do we do? Give Elizabeth's pictures to people and ask if they have seen her? Lucky asked his father
-NO! If the kidnapper knows we are in California, he or she will know we are here looking for her. We have to make it look like we are here to have a good time
-How will we find her then?
-I have no idea Cowboy, Luke answered hhonestly"
"-Dear, dear Elizabeth, it's such a shame that Lucky, or should I say Robert, has forgotten all about you so quickly"
Elizabeth looked outside and saw Lucky passed just in front of her with Luke. He was only on the other side of the glass, but he didn't see her. No one could. Even if she knocked on the window, he wouldn't hear her. Bullet proof, sun proof, noise proof, the glass was anything-you-can-think-of proof.
"-I'm glad he finally found someone and is not mourning over me. Elizabeth answered numbly
-Why would he? A piece of trash like yyou? A common laid is easily forgotten, Lizzie"
Elizabeth was boiling inside, but she knew better than to answer. Her jailer was not gentle in her punishment, and her marks all over her body was proofs of past insults. Everything was worth it though, she was thankful her kidnapper didn't take Lani at the same time they took her, or Lu Ann, Stefan, or even Lucky, Little Luke or Kiara. She would get through this, even if she had to die, because she knew her children and grandchild were safe.
"-Cowboy, I know it's a long shot, I used to be the prey, not the predator, but we will find Elizabeth. Alive. This I promise you.
-What if we can't dad? What if we are completely going the wrong way about this?
-Then I will die trying Lucky. I won'tt rest until she is back where she belongs, back with her family."
As they were walking back to the hotel, Lucky came across someone who gave him a bad feeling. A feeling of deja-vu. He knew this person. But from where? And when? Maybe from his company, but somehow he had a feeling that wasn't it. This person was from his past.
"-Dad, look over there, tell me if you know this face. Lucky whispered in his father's ear
-No, I can't say I do. Do you?
-I don't know. I'm sure I do, but I caan't remember from when and where. And I have a feeling she is following us"
Luke looked at the woman, trying to get her face engraved in his head. He would make it his business to see if she was following them. If she was, the predator would become the prey and if they were lucky, they would be led right to Elizabeth.
