Stats
January - Les Ratajczak chalked up the first victory for 2009 when Gary Fray choked on a two foot putt in the Skins final at Russell Vale.
February - Three Iron Brad Payten prevailed in stifling conditions at Blackheath to take out the Oblate Cup. He attributed his win to his lucky purple ball and several paddle pops in the prematch warm up. Payten's victory blocked Ratajczak from achiveing an unprecedented Summer Double but his second place catapulted LR to the top of the leaderboard.
March - Noel Gwynne's tidy even par round at Chatswood was enough to deny Martin Walsh a clean sweep of prizes in the Ides of March Challenge. The crucial factors were his recovery from a cricket elbow injury and a recovery from a drain
April - Joe Wastie goes 3 -2 -1 in three tournaments to take out the April Fools Championship and emerge as the key conetender to Les Ratacjzak's early lead in the Player of the year stakes.
May - Jeff Sadler hadn't seen much luck since his 2005 Player of the Year trophy but he exploded out of left field to blitz the field in the Maypole Medal at Bexley this year.
June - Rick Cosier made a special appearance on Tour and wasted no time in clocking up a victory making his record perfect: one win from one tournament. With the regular journalist holidaying in UK, Gary Fray stepped in with a fascinating match report
July - Martin Walsh took out the Brass Monkey Tournament after burning up Georges River and surviving a late challenge from Kim Host who did succeed in stealing his nearest the pin
August  - Paul Gwynne finally regained his form which, combined with a juicy handicap from a year of mediocre golf, enalbed him to block Craig Waine's valiant attempt to defend his Horses Birthday Classic title at Camden Valley. Meanwhile the field tested the new blood red shirts.
September - Gary Fray drove 100km to play at his local course Northbridge and it paid off with a very pleasing 5 stroke victory over Kim Host. "Just keep out of the trees" was his advice - sadly not heeded by most of the field.
October - Defending champ Greg Sadler returned to the circuit in the Hayfever Invitational after five months of acupuncture treatment on his chronic tendonitis and blitzed the field with a 10 under par round. It was the first successful title defence since Kim Host won the same tournament for a second straight year in 2004.
