Seizan Kai Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu
Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu class is composed of three segments: Kihon, Kata and Tameshigiri.

Kihon (Basics)
This includes perforning the Eight Cuts,
Chiburi/Noto (re-sheathing the blade), Nukitsuke (drawing the blade and cutting in one motion) and the Toyama Kamae (stances).

Kata
Learning and performance of the eight
Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu Kata, the five Shoden Seitai Kata or Tameshigiri Kata, and, for advanced students, the six two-man Kumitachi Kata and Gunto Toho.

Tameshigiri
Tameshigiri is test cutting with a live blade.  Students must complete at least six months of Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu training before being allowed to practice Tameshigiri.  During this period the student will learn the Tameshigiri Kata, the Eight Cuts and display the maturity needed to use a live blade.

Class begins with a series of warm-ups followed by the traditional
Toyama Ryu Bowing-In Ceremony.  Once the sword is taken up by the student a level of proper ettiqute and seriousness is to be maintained.  No horsing around or improper handling of the sword will be tolarated at any time.
                                          
Respect for the instructor and fellow students is a constant.
                                          
The entire class will take part in the Eight Cuts, the
Chiburi-Noto practice,  Nukitsuke and the eight Toyama Ryu Kata.  After this the students will spend time working at their individual levels and needs.
                                    
After
Tameshigiri every student is expected to help in the clean-up and preparation for the next class.

Full Time:       $80 Month (4 or more classes)
Part Time:      $45 Month (3 or less classes)
Individual Class:     $20 hr
Age 17 and Under Full Time:   $45 Month
