About Us

As of now Toys for Tarts is comprised of one man named Drew. However, he is in the process of training a few apprentices.

Drew got into Leatherworking back in '97 while on a quest for a better suit of armor for himself. Dissillusioned with how overpriced most merchants were, he decided in his typical fashion, to make it his damn self. He started studying several leatherworking techniques and putting them into practice. That first set of armor took him about a year to complete because, in all honesty, he's an anal retentive bastard of a perfectionist, and it tends to show in his work. Then he started listening to a friend whine about how much she wanted this leather corset but couldn't afford how much it costs. Again, in typical fashion he stated that he could do it much better, and cheaper. And he did. This naturally progressed into making toys for people in the lifestyle. And here we are now.

Yes, he is in the SCA, where he's recieved recognition for his leatherworking, and can be found teaching the craft at various events through the midrealm. Sometimes, he can also be found peddling his wares at different events and conventions as well. Though he offen prefers to do custom work and give the individual exactly what they are looking for.
