This is a little perfume tray I made for my sister. It's borders are lined with minature sculptures of her 3 cats. I wrote the cats' names on there as well. |

This Tiger Sculpture I made very large, about 2 feet in length. I used newspaper underneath and inside it to support it's weight while the legs dried. I glazed it with underglaze and clear glaze. Made in Fall 2002. |

For this sculpture I first built the giraffe with a smooth surface. Then I added pieces of clay as the spots on top to make a texture like cobblestone. The blue parts are glazed with blue underglaze with a clear glaze on top. The rest of the body is covered with gold luster glaze, which meant it had to be fired 3 times- bisque fired, glaze fired, and luster fired. Fall 2002 |
