Construction Research Technologies
T.P. Singh is the director of Construction Research Centre - the in-house R& D Cell of a private construction company. A graduate of IIT Delhi he worked for 7 yrs. as a geotechnical and a structural engineer before joining his present construction company in 1989. Here he spent three years on construction sites after which he started the inhouse R& D facility, looking at new materials and technologies, in addition to solving a variety of field problems
Achievements :

Introduction of Interlocking concrete pavers in our part of the world in 1991,
• Design of Earth Quake Resistant houses, training materials and programmes  for the last 4 major Earth Quakes in India
• Introduction of Fly ash in concrete in our company’s projects in 1998,
• Construction of the first HighVolume Fly Ash Concrete building in 2002,
• Development of FIREBAN - a cementitious 3 hr.rated fire resistant coating for structural steel buildings,
• Construction of a
High performance Ferrocement Dome - Invited by the Int’l Thin shell Association to make a presentation in Oregon in 2005.
• Development of the complete system including Stamping mats and materials for Decorative Imprinted Concrete
• Invited by the American Concrete Institute to present a
paper on HVFAC in the recent 9th Intl’ ACI conference on ‘Advances in concrete technology’ in Warsaw, Poland.
• Third party monitoring for two HVFAC demonstration projects of the CIDA funded CII-CANMET hvacprojectindia .
• Development of a Foam generating machine as well as the foaming chemical for producing Cellular Light weight Concrete Blocks
• Development of
SMART CL1 - a test kit to conduct the RCPT test on concrete as per the ASTM C 1202 standard.
