My Little British Cars
My 1963 Triumph TR4 and my 1959 Austin Healey SpriteI bought the TR4 on September 7, 2001 in Lakeland, Florida, and drove it back to Russellville, Arkansas (roughly 1,200 miles). The paint on the car is in good shape (last painted in 1996), and the interior was redone in 2000. The car still has a few rough edges that I'm slowly addressing; however, I don't ever plan to take it to a "show car" level. My goal is to maintain the car as a good, dependable driver that looks good at 20 feet.
I bought the Sprite on September 6, 2004 in Fort Worth, Texas. Based on what the previous owner told me, the car was restored in the late 80's. At that time it was upgraded with a 1275 cc engine and transmission from a later Sprite. The front brakes were also upgraded to disc brakes. The paint on the car photographs well, but is showing its age.
