| Leavellwood Page 2 Thursday June 30 will be etched in my mind forever. That was the morning we were to learn who the fianlists would be. Jessica and Brady are both super people, good competitors and as far as I know we all really stepped up and are deserving to go on. Well during the interview that's what I said. One on one with the producer, Terry Walters, and cameraman Gilbert, we were asked to rate our performance and why we felt one or the other of the contestants should or shouldn't go on. In hindsight maybe strategically I shouldn't have been so easy going and nice, but that's just me. So I was very complimentery of both of the other contestants. Soon after the interviews were done, the three of us were called out to the "Boardroom" . Wayne did his introductions and then the show finale. He explained what our weaknesses may have been and what our strong points were. Then he looked me right in the eye and said, "Tracy... you're, (long pause) safe." I jumped and yelled when Wayne told me that I was safe. Then toned it down as the verdict was dropped on the other two contestants. Brady was sent home from Leavellwood, all the way back to South Dakota. I hated it for him, he's a really good guy! Jessica Giddens and I would square off on the 11th show. The show that would determine the "Ultimate Outdoorsman 2005" and the winner of the trip to the Lodge at Chama, New Mexico, for an Elk hunt with Wayne. |
