"In the summer of 1974, our late Grandmaster John Myung H. Kim (WTF 8th Dan, Korean Judo Champion, Korean Hapkido Master) came to America to live with his elder brother, Master Moo H. Kim, in Cleveland, Ohio.  Grandmaster John Myung H. Kim was a Judo champion who left Judo and pursued Tae Kwon Do when Judo sensei became Judo coaches, and the martial art of Judo became the spirit of Judo.  When Judo was accepted into the olympics, our Grandmaster felt that Judo lost its martial arts spirit.

The organization at Miami University Oxford was started in the fall of 1979.
In the fall of 2001, Mrs. Krista L. Birkemeier, a graduate from Miami University, began another organization at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where she studies.

In the summer of 2003, the Traditional Korean Martial Arts School was opened and is headed by Master David Fiedeldey 4th Dan, which unified all three of the clubs.  Today, our masters and instructors today continue his philosophy and teaching in our school.
