One Steps Il Bo Dae Ryun
What the heck are one steps? They are short and usually rapid pre-arranged sequences of attack and counter between partners that are memorized. They are done with lots of control. This type of training emphasizes distancing, combining moves, balance, timing, and sharpening reaction time. It also gives you that extra confidence that is needed for sparring a real opponent. Tips for doing one steps Bow to your partner before beginning and then maintain eye contact. When punching out, please target your partner's face. Stand at a good distance so you won't hurt your partner. Use realistic moves in order to really be able to use them in real life.

Three Steps
There are even three steps? Yes, there sure are. As usual, they consist of two people, one punches twice. We are not sure why there are three steps. It seems that those who have gone before us have decided that one steps were not enough, and that students had to learn new requirements called three steps in order to make it harder to become an instructor. Why aren't there two steps? Again, we are not quite certain why. But when you become a master like Master Fiedeldey, then you will know. Keep learning!
