Forms Poomse |
Questions What are forms? Forms are essentially sparring with yourself as an opponent. Without imagining that opponent, then forms wouldn't be any different from dancing. Forms look like a series of patterns. All forms have a deep philosophical significance. How do you do forms? The first move in every form is to face the direction of the first move. From there, you practice and practice! You will perform with realistic moves because real live situations require real practice. Pointer: There is a time in the form when the student will kihap, or power shout. These are easily overlooked by the student during competitions and tests, which may cost points. |
