The fifteen member cast of Trainspotting was pulled together after auditions were held in Los Angeles in late 2001. The fifteen brave souls who chose to do this production had no clue what they were in for... The cast was put through a lot, including simulating sex and drug use, looking beaten and abused, appearing naked, and being covered in artificial feces. On top of this, only two members of the cast were actually Scottish, and the rest of the cast had to learn the dialect, which they did from dialect coach Andrea Morgan. This brave cast endured quite a bit and ran the show five times a week for over four months, giving brilliant ensemble performances that left the audiences astonished and with admiration.
