แปลคำอาราธนาธรรม

	พรหฺมมา จ โลกา อธิปติ สหมฺปติ
	กตฺอญฺชลี อนฺธิวรํ อยาจถ
	สนฺตีธ สตฺตาปปรชกฺขชาติกา
	เทเสตุ ธมฺมํ อนุกมฺปิมํ ปฃํ

	ฺBrahma Sahampati, chief in the world,
	his hands clasped, requested Him who
	was unexcelled:"There are beings here
	who by nature have little dust( of 
	defilements) in them; teach Dhamma out
	of compassion for this generation.	

 	ท้าวสหัมบดี เจ้าโลก ประคองอัญชลี
	ทูลขอพรอันยอดเยี่ยมว่า สัตว์ทั้งหลายที่มี
	กิเลศดุจธุลีในดวงตาน้อย มีอยู่ในโลกนี้
	ขอพระองค์ทรงเอ็นดูหมู่สัตว์นี้แสดงธรรม
	โปรดเถิด
