	The clarifier of the sweet meaning

	1. The section on the jewel-walk
	๑.   หมวดว่าด้วยรัตนจังกมนกัณฑ์

	And now comes teh Commentary on the Inner Antecedent
	based on the method that bedings thus:
	ก็บัดนี้ จะพรรณาความแห่งอัพภัตนตรนิทาน ที่เป็นไปโดยนัย
	เป็นต้นว่า
	Brahama Sahampati, chief in the world, his hand clasped,
	requested Him who was unexcelled:"There are beings here
	who by nature have little dust( of defilments) in them; 
	teach Dhamma out of compasssion for this generation."
	ท้าวสหัมบดีพรหม เจ้าโลก ประคองอัญชลีทูลขอพรอันยอด
	เยี่ยมว่า สัตว์ทั้งหลายที่มีกิเลสดุจธุลีในดวงตาน้อย มีอยู่
	ในโลกนี้ ขอพระองค์ทรงเอ็นดูหมู่สัตว์นี้แสดงธรรมเถิด.
	Herein " At that time the Lord was staying in the sqquirrels'
	feeding-ground in the Bamboo Grove near Rajagaha" is as
	in the Suttantas when they begin"At one time the Lord was 
	staying in Nigrodha's park near Kapilvatthu among the 
	Sakyans.
	ในข้อนี้ (ผู้ทักท้วงกล่าวว่า  เหตุไรท่านไม่กล่าวนิทานโดยนัย
	เป็นต้นว่า) " สมัยหนึ่ง พระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้าประทัรบอยู่ ณ 
	เวฬุวันกลันทกนิวาปสถานใกล้กรุงราชคฤห์"ตามนัยที่มี
	มาในพระสูตร แต่เริ่มต้นด้วยคำว่า"สมัยหนึ่ง พระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้า 
	ประทับอยู่ ณ นิโครธาราม กรุงกบิลพัสดุ์ ท่ามกลางชาว
	ศากยะทั้งหลาย
	Then the venerable Sariputta approached the Lord; having
	approached, he questioned the Lord on the Chronicle
	of Buddhas."
	ครั้งนั้น ท่านพระสารีบุตรเข้าเฝ้าถึงที่ประทับ  ครั้นแล้วได้
	ทูลถามพระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้าถึงพุทธวงศ์ ดังนี้
	์Not having spoken of an Antecedent in the way 
	beginning thus, why is an Antecedent meant in teh way
	beginning:
	" Brahama Sahampati, chief in the world, his hands
	clasped, requested Him who was unexcelled"?
	เมื่อไม่ได้พูดนิทานโดยนัยเป็นต้นดังนี้ ทำไมจึงดำเนินโดย
	นัยเป็นต้นว่า
	ท้าวสหัมบดีพรหม เจ้าโลก ประคองอัญชลีทูลขอพรอัน
	ยอดเยี่ยม ดังนี้ "
	It should be said: When Brahama was requesting the
	Lord for the teaching of Dhamma it was spoken for
	the purpose of showing the true mode of teaching
	the whole Dhamma.
	ขอแสดงดังนี้ว่า ท่านกล่าวดังนั้น ก็เพื่อชี้ถึงการทูลขอให้
	ทรงแสดงธรรมของพรหม อันเป็นเหตุแห่งการแสดงธรรม
	ทั้งปวงของพระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้า
	It should be said:
	When  was this Conqueror asked by
	Brahama for the teaching of Dhamma? When, where , 
	and by whom was this verse uttererd?"
	ขอชี้แจงปัญหาในที่นี่ว่า
	" พระชินเจ้านี้ถูกพรหมอาราธนา เพื่อทรงแสดงธรรม
	เมื่อไร ก็คาถานี้ ใครยกขึ้นกล่าว กล่าวเมื่อไร และที่ไหน"
