There is no doubt that one's emotional state of mind has a huge effect upon our physical well-being. For Leia, healing ability is a gift and she has been offering her service through body massage for the past 4 years to help cure others afflicted by a broad range of various ailments including lethargy, gout, insomnia, constipation and even strange skin disease, and other unsightly similar skin conditions.

Leia's normal body massage session is also diagnostic. In short, the therapy can work on ailments which neither the therapist nor the patient are consciously aware of. Often, Leia's clients walk in, seemingly healthy because there are no reasons to suggest otherwise; however, if they already have some health problems brewing inside their bodies that they are not aware of all this while, symptoms of the particular ailment would manifest days after the massage session.

This is good because it will allow them to start proper treatment at an early stage and not to wait until they become seriously ill, in which case the recovery period will take longer time and very costly as well.

To cite a case, one of Leia's clients, a 28-year-old taxi driver came for a normal body massage. He is overweight but seemingly healthy. At least he thought so. Three days later he felt a sharp pain in his right foot. He went to the clinic and the doctor did his blood test and urine test to know what he was actually suffering from. Hours later he came to see Leia, limping, and told her that he was diagnosed with Gout, which according to the doctor, has been building up in his body for some time. This client was advised to carefully watch his diet and he visited Leia on regular basis for energy healing massage as a combined treatment. He has since recovered.

What is Energy Healing

As for Leia, she came from a long line of healers, both from her Thai and Indonesian ancestors. She realised her special healing gift at a very tender age.

Leia combines her energy healing therapy with Ayurvedic Massage (using Acupressure technique), and sometimes intuitive massage. She spent some time in New Delhi to study the ancient Indian Ayurvedic massage.

Leia's therapeutic touch treats the whole person: relaxes the mind, heals the body, and soothes the spirit. The principle behind transpersonal energy healing therapy is that it does not stop at the skin. The human body extends an energy field, or aura, several inches to several feet from the body.

lllness occurs when there is a disturbance or blockage in the vital energy field. The practitioner uses her/his hands to sense the blockage or disturbance. In a series of gentle strokes, the healer removes the disturbance and rebalances the energy to restore health. When combined with massage and physiotherapy, energy healing can reduce tension, headaches, back pain, stress-related problems, circulatory problems, and constipation, among others. In short, it promotes an overall well-being of the person.

Some refers to this as Spiritual healing, which is a systematic, purposeful intervention by one or more persons aiming to help another living being (person, animal, plant or other living system) by means of focused intention, hand contact, or passes to improve their condition. Spiritual healing is brought about without the use of conventional chemical interventions.

Some healers attribute spiritual healing to God ("higher powers"), spirits, universal or cosmic forces or energies; biological healing energies or forces residing in the healer; or self-healing powers or energies latent in the healee. Psychological interventions are inevitably part of healing, but spiritual healing adds many dimensions to interpersonal factors.

If one is very highly stressed or overwhelmed with emotional conflicts, the immune system collapses and people find their pain and discomfort thresholds much lower. As a result sickness can prevail. The truth is, happy people feel much better and have more energy with which to enjoy their lives to the fullest and pay less attention to the negative aspects of their lives.
