More about your Guide to Nepal
Nepal is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of bio-diversity due to its unique geographical positions and altitude variation. The elevation of the country ranges from 60 m at sea level to the highest point on the earth, Mt. Everest at 8850 m, all within a distance of 150 km resulting into climatic conditions from Sub-tropical to Arctic.
There are many Nepals, as many as there are people. With dozens of ethnic groups and hundreds of languages, Nepal is many countries combined into one. Even religion is a multiple here: the official boast is that Nepal is 'the world's only Hindu Kingdom', but interwoven with the predominant religion are strands of Buddhism, animism and tantra, which mellow the predominate religion, making it more tolerant and open than Hinduism practiced in India it is a palpable relief to cross the border into relaxed Nepal.
Few destinaiton in the world can match Nepal in the variety of adventure tourism be it mountaineering, trekking, mountain biking, nature tours, culture tours, pilgrim tours, White-water-rafting, kayaking, canoeing, mountain flights, hot air ballooning, pony trekking, jungle safaris, bird watching fishing, hang-gliding, ultra light aircraft ride, etc. in addition, we have several special interst tours like orchid tour, culture trek, honey hunting, village tours, fossil hunting meditation courses and seminars, cave culture, snow leopard and blue sheep trek and manu more that take place throughout the year.
Mountaineering:
With eight of the highest peaks in the world, it is hardly surprising that Nepal has been the stage for some of the most outstanding achievements in the world of mountaineering. The dauntless icy peaks have since decades challenged the bodies and spirits of those daring enough to want to conquer the hulks.
River Rafting/Kayaking:
Few rafting rivers in the world can match the thundering course of the rivers of Nepal origination from the snow meltdown of the Himalayan terrain. The rivers gush through the twisted canyons, winding through calm balley where samll settlements are perched on the banks, taming out only as they spill out into the indian plains to marge with the Ganges. A river-trip is one of the best ways to explore the typical cross-sesction of the country's natural as well as theethno-cultural heritage with massive does of adrenaline buzz on our world caliber white-water thrills.
Jungle Safari:
Chitwan offers exciting safari destination in the world. Jungle activities here include venturing into deep jungle on elephant back or four wheel drive to view wild animals in their natural habitat, canoe rides on the jungle rivers, natural walks, birds watching and village tour excursion.
Sight Seeing:
For those who can not withstand the regorousness of mountain climbing there are mountain flights whihc fly around mt. Everest and other summits providing a close-up of the top of the world. One a clear day, the hill resorts of nagarkot, Dhulickel and Daman afford magnificent views of Mt. Everest and entire himalayan range. For the less adventure, Pokhara, the lake city of Nepal provides ample opportunities for fishing, swiming, canoeing and boating along with majestisc panoramic views in its background. Sighe seeing in Kathmandu include the whole Kathamndu Valley. There are many monasteries, temples and holy places. Bhaktapur, Patan, Durbar Square, Pashupati tempale, Boudhanath, Swayambhu are the major sight seeing areas. There are also many musiums and many world heritage sites. To do a cultural & natural adventure, Nepal is one of the best country in the world. There are a lot of festival (religious) and national.
