Ok, this site is not about my life's story, and it's not going to be a journal or anything. It's a story I'm writing, and I just felt like putting it on the net. I don't write alot, so my style isnt very refined. I'll update as I write more, but I'm not going to update regularly or anything, so no promises. This is the first bit of my story, so enjoy. |

Flashlights in hand, the three teens headed down to the old apartment building. Jess, who was very logical, knew that things such as ghosts and monsters couldn't exist. She was scared anyway. "Why am I so scared?" Jess tried to reason out her fear. "I mean, Matts a big guy, and can handle any trouble we run into. I just don't want Matt to get hurt by some kids if they attack us. I'm not worried about anything supernatural." There was a crash off in the darkness, and Jess leaped up with a frightened squeak. Matt pointed his flashlight over in the direction of the noise, and saw that it was just a rabbit running through a bush. "Ha, ha, ha! Scared of the bunny Jess?" taunted Jeff. "Man, what a wuss!" Jeff had been scared by the sound too, but hadn't reacted quite so visibly as Jess, so nobody noticed. Jeff had just started taking karate lessons last month, so he wasn't very confident in his skills. He wasn't a very big guy, either. He was only 5"7, 120 pounds, and little muscle to speak of. |

"Man, this is great," Matt said. "No more school." With school done, the high schooler just wanted to relax and have some fun. "Well, for some of us it is," said Jeff. More like a mumble really. "I've still got summer school." "And whose fault would that be?" said Jess. Jess and Jeff were brother and sister, twins actually, but little alike. Jeff got all the creativity while Jess got all the smarts. "Yah, shut it sis," Jeff muttered. "Be nice," Matt said playfully. The three were all from the same school, Lisdin High. They were all in grade 11, and happy to be done. Or, in some cases, almost done. "So, what are we going to do tonight?" asked Matt. Since Jeff's classes didn't start until a week Thursday, he hoped to have some fun with the twins. "What, in this piece-a-crap small town?" Jeff said bitterly. "Sure, there isn't anything big, but we can still just hang out, or maybe go down to the ChillCrib," said Jess. "Oh yah, the "ChillCrib", our towns version of a dance club. A little garage with a crappy ass name where a bunch of ugly, fat, old people "dance" to some music from the 70's or something," raged Jeff, running a little short of breath. "Well, someone's a little angry," said Jess. "If you don't want to go there, we could always go down to that old apartment building," Matt said. "What, the one Jess has been too scared to go into all year?" asked Jeff, smiling teasingly at his sister. "Shut up Jeff," Jess snapped. "It wasn't because I was scared, I just ... had too much homework." "Oh yeah right, nice excuse," said Jeff." "Why don't we bring those big flashlights my dad has?" asked Matt. "It won't be as scary with the two of us anyway, Jess." "I'm not scared," pouted Jess. |

Sorry that there was no blurb with this update up until now. Anyway, this is the end of character description for a little bit. I'm going to add a couple of new characters sometimes soon, so if you like character development, just hang on. |
|
|
This bit has a lot about what the characters look like, and not a lot of plot development, so it's a little bit boring, but I'll probably put more up in the afternoon, since its 2:19 a.m. |

Since Jeff had blond hair, everyone assumed that he was pretty dumb and slow, but they were only half right. He wasn't very smart, but he was pretty quick with more practical things, and was usually witty. His sister on the other hand, was just the opposite. She was naturally blond, but since she didn't want to be taken for a bimbo or anything, she died her hair black. She, unlike Jeff, was very smart, but could be a ditz when it came to real life situations, and was slow on the uptake on a lot of jokes. Jess and Jeff were opposite in almost everything, including physical appearance. While Jeff wasn't ugly, he didn't have the girls chasing after him. Jess on the other hand, was quite a stunning beauty. She refused to date, even if she had many offers, saying that it interfered with school. "Come on Jeff, leave her alone," Matt said. He was something of a mix of the two. He did all right in school, and was known to crack a good joke from time to time. He was the tallest out of the three, standing at about 6"4. He weighed two hundred and thirty five pounds, and was a cute guy. He was pretty popular at school, but usually hung out with the twins. Mostly because he really liked Jess. |

He was too scared to ask her out though, so he just hung around her as much as possible. "I should just go for it," he thought. "She's pretty short, only about 5"2, and i usually go for girls who are at least above my shoulders, but still, she's gorgeous." "Hey big guy, what's up with the dreamy look?" Jeff asked, snapping Matt back to reality. "I've asked you about a dozen times how we get inside, but you were spacing out." "Just thinking.... 'bout nothing," Matt added, seeing the question on Jeff's face. Matt started to blush. "If we are going to do this, can we get going already?" asked Jess, hoping doing something would calm her down. "Oh, sorry Jess. Sure, lets go," said Matt, even more embarrassed now. "There's a door on the other side over there." Matt said, pointing off to their right. "Great, let's go," said Jeff, giving Matt an understanding smirk. "Does he know?" Matt wondered. "If he does, I hope he doesn't tell Jess." They started walking over to where Matt had pointed. When they arrived at what Matt had said was a door, they found it to actually be the remains of the door. It was just a big, almost rectangular hole in the wall. |
