1. Mask- Does your mask fit, have you checked the strap for adjustment, fogger, and do you have an extra? 2. Fins- Adjusted, straps OK, did you remove the weeds & fish line after the last dive? Dry or wet fins? 3. Snorkle- Did you wash the sand out of it, check valve working, did you pack it? 4. Regulator-s- Is it clean and in good working order? Hoses OK? Oct./Alt. Air Also? 5. Tank-s- Full of air, o-ring in place, current vip & hydro (do you need to fill for 2nd dive)? Pony? 6. BC/backpack- Is it adjusted, checked for leaks, tears, frayed straps, and weight adjusted? 7. Wet/Dry Suit- Do you have your hood, mitts/gloves, booties, insulated underwear? Zipper lubed? 8. Knife- Is it sharp, easy to reach, and will not get hung up on obstructions? Do you have a back up? 9. Flashlight- Did you recharge it or put in new battery, & checked the o-rings? Does it work? 10. Compass- Do you know how to use it? 11. Submersible Pressure Guage- Accurate, easy to read, is the hose OK, lanyard? 12. Depth Guage- Accurate , easy to read, easy to access? Batteries? 13. Decompression Computer/Decomp. Tables- Accurate, easy to read and access? Batteries? 14. Camera- Did you remember film, tape, batteries, o-rings, etc ? 15. Speargun/ fish net/ special tools- Miscellanious tools for specific tasks? 16. Weight Belt/ Weights- Proper amount of weight, release works, belt still fits? 17. Tide/Current charts- Do you know how to read them? Did you figure local corrections? 18. Spares- Take two of everthing because you know your buddy may forget something, or something will get lost or broken. |
