The beginning of My trike
I knew nothing about a Volkswagen, but gas and go.
I joined The Brothers of the Third Wheel to get some
ideas from the people on the fourm. A lot of good ideas
are there just for the asking.

The motor is removed.
Ready to remove the body.

Here I have removed the body
Now to cut the pan into, just in front of
the transmision mount.

The place where I cut the pan,
was just where the body
sat on the pan in front
of the back seat.

Here you can see where I made the cut.

Here is the front part of the pan
I discarded this.

Here is the motor, I thought I had a
69 model (because the car was a 69' but
I found
Out it was a 40 HP instead of a 60 HP.
I rebuilt it anyway. I had to ride what I had.

Here is another shot of the rear end turned
bottom up looking in the bellhousing
of the transmission.

I have started the main part of the trike frame.
I used 1 1/4 square tubeimg 1/4 inch walls.
I bolted one piece across the rear body Mounting
brackets. Then I ran 3 peces down the center line,
and welded 2 to the torson tube and 1 to the piece
I put across the body mounts.

I added the front end, and ran the
braces up to the front fork,
from a 1100 Yamaha
