This is anothere shot of the front.
Since I was working outside, no
level ground to measure from, I
had to level the rear end and
block the frame up level, before
I welded it in place.

This is the engine I was rebuilding, with the help
of a person, whom I had met on the BTW forum.
He Knew VW's, inside and out, so I picked his brain.
We have since become good friends. I have learned
a lot from him. He is a Texan Named Floyd Flud "FLASH".
Through email and telephone calls we built this trike
Then one year ago the Arkansas Misfits arrainged a
Texas/tennessee conection, where Floyd and I met,
at Toad Suck park in Arkansas. Thanks Guys and Gals.

Here is a shot of the front of the frame, and the
brake and clutch controls.

I have added some more of the frame work around the
back seat. Also installed the gas tank from the Yanaha,
It will not be used for gas, it will cover some of the
electrics, and have the indicating lites, switch etc.
mounted under it.

I have added the running boads here. They
are 1 by 4 in. tubing, welded together.

I have installed a 6 gal boat gas tank here (red object)
I would not use this tank should I build another.
I would fabricate a larger tank. I have to stop
and fillup every 125 miles. I would want longer range.
Also I installed the rebuilt 40 HP engine.

I have started to put the skin on the frame,
do some of the wiring. My relays for the lites and
horn, turnsignal flasher etc wll be mounted
on tis plate under the hollowed out gas tank.

This is a shot of the front, showing some bulbs for the
indicating lites. They mount in the tank.
the grey cable in the center, is a 19 conductor,
12 gauge wire, running the length of the trike, for the main wiring.

Here I have the skin on the frame. I also have started
to build the seats, that I will use. the front seat
was an old impliment seat, that I remodeled, and
put a back rest on it.

This shows the side compartmens, that are used to
store items in. I have one on each side. Will hold
a half helment, rain suit, tools, chaps, coat, and more
all at the same time. Pretty good storage space.
