D'rison

:Falas Weyr::Tripaldi Weyr

D’rison scowled as he dropped from Toshikoth’s shoulder on their ledge. Toshikoth was a weyrling now and they’d shown great skill in flying and had been assigned their own weyr. Unfortunately it sounded like it wouldn’t be theirs much past Toshikoth reaching adulthood. The Weyrwoman had just announced that Falas Weyr would be closing and all of them would need to find a new Weyr to transfer to once their dragons reached adulthood. She wasn’t going to kick anyone out before adulthood because she wanted to be sure they had time to find a suitable transfer but it was still distressing.

Toshikoth warbled soothingly from his stone couch as D’rison stalked into his weyr and threw himself down on one of his chairs. It is not so terrible, my rider. There are many good Weyrs out there. I have been talking to the other dragons about it.

Surprised by his dragon’s initiative D’rison looked up at the bronze. “What did they have to say?”

One of the transfers from the FGPC came from another Weyr that sounds lovely. Tripaldi Weyr is on the beach so we could go swimming together.

“Alright Toshi,” replied D’rison thoughtfully, wondering which FGPC dragon the bronze had been speaking with, “I’ll look into it.”

And that he did. Once he and Toshikoth had mastered between he got the coordinates for Tripaldi Weyr and the two of them went to investigate. Due to his dragon’s age no one was available to meet with them but the Weyrlingmaster but K’naret was a very nice fellow who seemed well settled in and quite fond of the place. After a brief tour D’rison made up his mind and Toshikoth bugled happily when he told the dragon his decision that evening in their weyr.

We are really going?

“Only once you’ve reached adulthood, but yes, we’re really going,” replied D’rison, trying to suppress a grin at his young dragon’s jubilation.

Toshikoth bugled happily again and D’rison gave in to the laughter bubbling up in his chest.
