I was just recovering from Rocket Camp when the YMCA called me that we didn't have a coordinator for this event, and since I was going.....well, you know.
Fortunately, this is a very easy event to host, and everyone had a very good time. The weather was great, the snow was pretty good, and based on the fact that we were all pretty tired Saturday night, was a testament to the effort put out on the slopes!
Singing Pines lodge is a cozy, 80 year old pine lodge that still is a good place to use as our base in Big Bear. The boys and dads had plenty of time to relax together, playing games, watching TV, playing foosball, reading and enjoying some decompression time.
The center of Big Bear is walking distance away, and in general everyone had an easy time getting into the Snow Summit or Bear Mountain resorts.
