~Still At The Club W/ Nick~
"Smirnoff Ice, two of 'em please." Nick told the bartender. "Right away Mr. Carter." The bartender said. "Here ya go." Nick tried to pay for the drinks. "Oh no Mr. Carter, these are on the house." The bartender refused his money."Thanks." Nick said walking away with the drinks in his hand. Nick walked past the table, noticed Melissa wasn't there, so he asked a woman sitting next to his table, "Excuseme, miss? Have you seen this girl?" Nick showed her a picture of Melly that he had in his wallet. "Yea, she went out the back door with some woman." The girl replied. "What'd she look like?" Nick asked looking towards the back door. "She was short and had long black hair, she was older." "Shit, thanks." Nick responded.::ring::ring:: Nick dialed Valerie and Brian's room number. "Who could it be? It's so late." Brian said. "I dunno, I'll get it, ya never know it might be Steven." Val said getting up from the floor. "Hello? This is Valerie." She answered the phone on the third ring. "Hey Val did Mel have any other plans?" Nick asked out of breath. "Just you." Val laughed. "No I'm serious we were at a club and then someone saw her leave with a short woman who had black hair. I can't find her and I don't know where she went." Nick said speeding down the highway. "Elaine." Val whispered. "What?" Nick said, his cell phone was creating static so he couldn't hear. "You go get Steven, and I'll find Melly, meet ya at 75th and Dowling in twenty minutes." Val said searching the room for her clothes. "Alright." Nick agreed hanging up. "I gotta go!" Val said grabbing her jacket and heading towards the door. "What? What's going on?" Brian asked getting up. "It was Nicky, I have to meet him in twenty minutes. I'll be right back." Val said quickly, giving Brian a kiss then heading out the door.
~Val going to Elaine's~
"Hmm, they probably took her past the jail or maybe straight to Elaine's." Valerie said herself as she hailed a cab. "8701 Bonzi Ave." She told the cab driver. He simply nodded and within seconds they arrived at that address. Val recognized the black van when they pulled up. She paid the driver and then ran up to the building. She pounded her fists against the door and there was no response. She could hear some voices from inside, onefemale and one male but couldn't make out who it was. Finally she was able to push the door open. "What the fuck are you doing here?" Elaine screamed when she saw Valerie in the doorway. "I'm here to stop you!" Val said back. "Valley! Thank God you are here!" Melissa said, who was tied to a chair in the corner of the empty room. "Don't think it's that easy. You haven't gotten her away." Elaine snapped. "But I will." Val snapped back. "Over my dead body." Elaine screamed charging at her. "NO!" a voice yelled from the doorway. "If you dare, you'll join Ethan in the big house." The person in the doorway was Steven. "My baby is in love with her and I'll do anything to get them together." Elaine said slapping Val across the face. "Even if it means getting rid of you two." She added raising her hand to slap her again. "Val!" Melly cried out trying to break the ropes that were tied around her wrists. "It's alright Melissa." Steven said. "You are under arrest, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law" Steven trailed off as he handcuffed Elaine and led her outside to where a squad car was waiting. "Come on Mel." Valerie said going over to untie her best friend. "Thanks." Mel said hugging Val as soon as she was free. "How does Steven ALWAYS know where to find us?" Melly laughed. "Two words, Frick and Frack." Val simply said. "Ah!" Melly laughed again. "Come on let's get outta here." Val said leading Melissa out of the old house.
~Nick~
"Where are they?" Nick said nervously pacing outside his car. "Nicky boy!" Val called out to him as she pulled up in a cab. "Thank God. Where's Melly?" Nick said relaxing a little. "Oh yeah.... Mel...." Val began slowly. "What? Where is she?" Nick started to freak out again. "Settle down Nicky." Val said laughing a little, "She's right here."Val said stepping out of the way so he could see Melly. "Are you alright babe?" Nick asked rushing over to her. "Yeah, I'm fine. But we need to worry about Val. She got quite the bitch slap from Elaine." Melly said turning her attention towards Val. "My goodness, are you alright?" Nick said turning his attention as well. "I'm cool." Val said. "Naw, I don't think so, your face is red." Nick said studying the mark on her face. "It does sting a little." Val saidgasping as she touched her face. "We gotta get some ice on that or you'll puff up." Melly said to her friend. "YeahI wanna go back to let Bri know everything is alright." Valerie said beginning to walk towards the hotel. "No cabs. I wanna walk." She added as Nick and Melissa reluctantly followed her.
~Brian as Val arrives back~
"Just pray everything is ok with them." Brian said to himself. "Baby?" Valerie said as she walked in the door."Baby?" Brian asked back walking around the corner to see his fiancé with her hand over her cheek and a tear inher eye. "You alright baby?" Brian asked again. "Not really." Val moved her hand to show Brian the large red mark that was still on her face from where Elaine hit her. "Aw babe. C'mere, we'll get some ice for that." Briansat her down on the couch and then proceeded to the refrigerator to get some ice. "Just hold it on there." Brian said a moment later handing the ice bag to Val. "Thanks Bri." Val gave him a kiss. "Anything else?" Brian asked sitting next to her. "Actually there is..." Val began. "What is it?" Brian asked in a worried tone. "You know how you proposed... and I accepted..." Valerie started again. "Yeah..." "Well see, I'm going against everything I believe for you.... so I want you to do one favor for me which goes against what you believe in..." She trailed off. "You know I'd do anything for you.. but..." Bri trailed off. "Then you'd do this one thing."Val pleaded. "Sure babe, what is it?" "I want to elope. Absolutely none of that wedding stuff. Just us." Val said taking the ice away from her face. "Not even Melissa? Nick?" Brian asked. "No. We are the ones spending ourlives together not them. Please Honey?" Val pleaded again. "You know how my family would feel about this. We're churchy people." Brian said softly. "You know how my family would feel? We're not. Remember, the wholenon-marriage thing. You're lucky I even agreed. I'm risking the disapproval and possibly disowning of my family."Val said standing up and pacing. "Sit down here Valley. I understand and yes." Brian said. "Was that a yes?" Valasked after she sat down. "Yes it was a yes. Let's elope tonight." Brian said excitedly. A large smile quickly grew across Valerie's red face. "Go get cleaned up, I'll call one of those late-night chapels and be right back." Brian said going to the phone. "Thanks sweetie, this means so much to me." Val said jumping up to go clean up."If not eloping means not spending my life with you then forget it. We're getting married TONIGHT!" Brian said grabbing the phone book.
~Val getting ready~
"I love Brian so much, to think in less than an hour, I will be Mrs. Brian Thomas Littrell, Mrs. Littrell... it does havea nice ring to it doesn't it?" Val laughed as she put on some mascara. "Hmm, what to wear, I know it's casual..."Val laughed to herself again, "Who am I talking to? Here we go..." She took out a pale blue skirt and shirt outfit and put them on. "Earrings..." She was still talking to herself. "Alright... Let's get married!" Val announced as she walked out of the bedroom. "Forgive me Lord for I have sinned!" Brian said when he saw how beautiful Valerie looked. "Oh dear, How Did I Fall In Love With You?" Val laughed giving Brian a kiss. "So where are we going?" Val asked. "We're going to the chapel and we're gonna get married." Brian sang a line from the old song. "That's how!" Val laughed again.
~Half An Hour Later At The Chapel~
"Brian Littrell, do you take..." The judge/priest guy at the chapel trailed off for a moment then picked up again. "Sorry bout that, Brian Littrell, do you take Valerie Lachean to be your lawfully wedded wife?" He ended. "Yes I certainly do!" Brian announced loudly. "And do you Valerie Lachean take Brian Littrell..." The priest was cutoff by Val saying, "lawfully hubby, blah blah you betcha I do!" Val laughed accepting the vows. "Then you two areMr. and Mrs. Brian Littrell. Plant one on her big guy!" The priest ended. Brian and Valerie embraced, kissed, thanked the priest and headed back to the hotel to 'celebrate' once again.~A Bit Later~ Bri and Val on their way down the hallway to their hotel room~"Did you see the look on his face when he realized he was officiating the wedding of a Backstreet Boy?" Vallaughed. "I know, Brian Littttttt.....poor guy almost had a heart attack!" Brian laughed with her as they passed Nick and Melly's room. ~At the same time Nick and Melly overheard this from the hallway~"Was that Brian and Valley?" Nick asked as he heard them talking about their wedding. "Yeah, it was... were theytalking about a wedding?" Melly asked walking over towards Nick who was next to the door. "Yeah." "They wouldn't get married. Are you sure it wasn't Howie or AJ getting married?" Mel asked. "No it wasn't he said the wedding of Brian Littrell." Nick verified. "I don't believe it." Melly said opening the door and stopping in the hallway."Valerie Anne Lachean and Brian Thomas Littrell... you didn't?!!?!" Melly yelled at them. "Didn't what?" Brian turned around laughing. "You know damn well what I'm talking about." Melly said stomping towards the newlyweds"You did!" Melly gasped as she saw the rings on their fingers and the marriage certificate in Brian’s hand. "How could you?" Melly kept on beginning to cry.
