74. The facade of the Temple of Quetzalcoatl in the Citadel is decorated with alternate representations of the rain-god Tlaloc and the plumed serpent Quetzalcoatl. This remarkable example of Teotihuacan art was preserved for us by the fact that the entire facade was concealed within the new building when the Teotihuacan architects enlarged the platform.
