From birth Istolil was different from the peers of the academy, his mind twisted and distorted from an early age. His sinister love of the Spider Queen, Lloth, sealed his fate from an early age, making him destined for a greatness of which males have never reached before. Once Istolil had arrived at the surface, he instantly looked for the rival houses he’d heard of. It was in the chambers of House NightFlame where he was changed forever, where he courted and soon married the young Matron Blythraen NightFlame. With the sudden collapse of House NightFlame's power (to this day Jabbuk will not say if he played a part in its downfall) Jabbuk fled with Blythraen back to the depths of the Underdark. There they began to create the massive army, which is now feared by the surface dwellers of all races. Once the new House Yeog’il’rymmin had secured its ranks within the hierarchy of the Drow world, it began its reign of terror. Jabbuk is feared as a cold leader: The slightest slip up can end your life in a blink of the eye. He is known for his short tempers and insane punishments, which most all result in the slow painful death. Even if it is his own children have suffered his wrath, with just cause. Yet still, he only holds affection to one woman, his wife, who is said to be the brains behind the powerful Patron, the one who keeps him from releasing all his fierce wrath against his very own people. |

The Rise of the Jabbuk Deep beneath the surface world of light, lay a dark and evil race of elves known as the Drow. Their ebony black skin is a reflection of their twisted souls and their blood red eyes, flaring with a fiery malice, remind viewers of their god’s heritage within the abyss. Here, many years ago in this underworld of bloodlust and true warriors, Istolil the youngest noble of House Yeog'il'rymmin, was chosen by the Matron mother to venture up unto the surface to solidify a covenant of alliance between Clan Orcus and the House Yeog’il’rymmin. Under the confidence that Istolil would succeed in his task, his family would not only be the most powerful house in Ched Nasad (a significant Underdark city), but it would also have the favor of Lloth, the Spider Queen and Drow goddess of chaotic evil. However, Istolil ended up turning on Clan Orcus and destroyed it's members, hunting them down one by one. The Yeog'il'rymmin Matron called Istolil back, infuriated with him. Upon his return to the Underdark, Istolil began honing his abilities and strength. His superior skill developed, and in time he killed the Yeog'il'rymmin Matron and took over the Clan, control it with a formidable authority. It was quick to come about that Istolil, going by the name ‘Jabbuk’ ("Master"), made a niche for himself in the surface world and among the ranks of the Legion of Doom. An organization of beings that wished to gain power in Ayenee by an alliance with those who were like minded. This strong surface tie has bonded the Underdark to the surface via Jabbuk. If Jabbuk had ever broken his pact to aid Grimskull, the leader of The Legion of Doom, he would have suffered the fate of a thousand deaths. Each one being more heinous than the last. Jabbuk, however, didn't care about such a consequence. He was a zealous follower of Lloth and would have done anything his Dark Queen desired. Jabbuk relied solely on dark skills, never trusting his life in the hands of another. Trained by the finest warriors in Ched Nasad, he finished third of his class. This was a remarkably high status in a class of many where the number of pupils diminished after each exercise. This was also especially notable since his warrior training was second priority to Lloth. Never before had it been accepted to have a male Priest of Lloth. The Drow were a primarily feministic race, keeping that only women should have the right to commune with the Spider Queen, Lloth. But Jabbuk was the first exception, only because Lloth saw promise in his soul. She saw his true devotion, as well as the prospect for him to function as well as any female. So it was accepted within Ched Nasad, though not without consequence, that Jabbuk should become the first Priest of Lloth among the Priestesses. Jealousy arose and ensued in that Lloth would put so much investment into a male. But there was more to Jabbuk than meets the eye. Jabbuk is perhaps one of the most ruthless males in all Ched Nasad. Having extensive training with females, he believes he is higher in importance than males, though he still holds the females as being above him. However, the dark queen protects Jabbuk. Any Drow that would slay Jabbuk shall suffer the consequences of the worst fate. That of the Drider. Should Jabbuk ever fail in his mission or his obedience to Lloth, punishment would be encouraged, and his life given to Lloth. There is an extreme amount of pressure on Jabbuk being the only male Priest of Lloth, and it reflects on his personality. He knows he best not disappoints her. Understanding his importance, he occasionally complies with the humans of the surface, only because his goal requires him to do so. Though, through his veins Jabbuk can feel his unreserved hatred for the surface dwelling entities growing steadily greater... |
