ISLAND PURE is South Australias first sheep milking dairy and cheese factory. The ISLAND PURE milking flock is run on pasture in the fertile clean environment of Cygnet River on Kangaroo Island.
ISLAND PURE sheep are hygienically machine milked. The products are pasteurised and tested regularly by the Department of Agriculture Health Inspectors.

| Many people might be surprised to learn that there are more sheep milked worldwide than cows. The cheeses and yoghurt made here are world-class and the cheeses include Spanish, Greek, Italian and Cypriot recipes. | |

Since 1992 Island Pure has developed to where 300 sheep
are milked at any one time from a dairy flock of 1200.
"Seal Bay!"
"Many marine mammals are found along the Island's 450km of largely undeveloped coastline. The Australian Sea Lion spends as much time on land as at sea. They can be seen at the sandy beach at Seal Bay.

A mother returns from the sea, she looks for her cub to feed it and calls out, the cub answers and comes running. You can hear a continueous calling from mothers and babies. Sometimes a baby can not find it's mother and it becomes really upset.
