For a little change in scenery...

we headed to Atlanta, Ge-ow-ga

Leah, Shelley, me, and Yolanda at my house in Charlotte before we begin our long trek to Atlanta

Our first night there. This is Buckhead (a "hip" part of Atlanta). Behind us is the Atlanta Fish Market - see the big fish?? I lightened the picture so you could see it; sorry for the weird coloring. We didn't get to eat there because it was way too expensive. Maybe the next time we're in Atlanta we'll get our dates to take us there...haha, or not...dunno if fish is a good idea..

Shelley, me, and Leah standing on the street corner of Buckhead...just to take the picture of course!

I'll interrupt now to tell you a little story about Buckhead. Two random, hippie-looking guys came up to us and asked if we were students. They then asked if we wanted to drop out of school and travel around the country with them. Not to anyone's surprise, we said "Uhhh, NO!" They apparently had been doing this for 6 years. When we asked them how they got food, they said "We have the ability to manifest stuff. We do shows too" (not elaborating on what TYPE of shows). Anyway, we told them we had to go, and they said they had another question for us - "Can we come home with you for the night?" Much to their dismay, our answer was a flat-out NO. They said "Aww, but we give good back massages. We'll do stuff for you - like wash your dishes naked." Thanks, but no thanks, and we were outta there...without the hippie guys.

So Shelley's aunt wanted to give us (dispose of) some really old clothes. I'm sure they were in fashion back in the 80's, but to us at midnight, they were just really funny! I think the picture needs no more explanation than that. Yolanda, Leah, me, and Shelley.

We wanted to find some nicer clothes than the ones in the picture above, so we headed to the Flea Market. Boy were we wrong. The only thing we found was "Socks for the whole family." We "FLEED" that market pretty quickly. Me, Shelley, Leah, and Yola...err, some random dog.

After the Flea Market, we decided to do some more quality shopping, so we went to the North Georgia Outlets. This is the Lego store...they have huge Lego sculptures! See the train driver, me, and can anybody spot Shelley??

We went downtown Atlanta on Monday. This is inside the Coke museum (basically one big advertisement for Coke). Yolanda and I are "in" the ad. Yeah, it's a gimmick, but we decided to take the pic anyway. We did a pretty good job making it look real didn't we?

We are officially INSIDE a six-pack here...maybe not exactly the kind of six-pack we want, but it'll have to do. Me, Leah, Yolanda, and Shelley

And since you love my stories so much, here's another one. On the way into Georgia, we were driving along I-85 when this van of guys pulls up beside us, the guy in the backseat holding the sliding door open (while the car is moving at 80mph). A while later, we saw them again, waved and whatnot. We had found some travelling buddies! After going past their van about 3 times, we conveyed our phone number too them and then had a nice little chat. Turns out they were on their way to the airport after placing third in the cross country pre-NCAA meet at Furman. Congrats to the Air Force Academy (who apparently did better than Duke...bleeh).
