Pastor Daniel Ukor was raised in an unsaved home, his family didn't know Jesus Christ.
They didn't even attend church. They believed in JUJU power of witchcraft. (a very
prominent belief in Nigeria, Africa).

In 1971 Pastor Ukor's uncle took him to the Apostolic  Church. From age 10 Pastor Daniel
started seeing visions and was spoken to by God. The Holy Spirit was at work, preparing
him for his work for God in the future. He saw his uncle getting poisoned in a vision.
He even saw who poisoned him. Through prayers, his uncle lived. His uncle was a teacher
and into JUJU though he went to church.

In 1976 Daniel joined 'Lawrence of America', a witchcraft organization. After this time
Pastor Daniel did not have contact with church until 1992. Before Pastor Daniel's conversion
to know Jesus, he was a drunkard, chain smoker and tried everything.

In 1992 - 1996: Real changes started to occur, and God knew it was time to deal with his
heart. A chain of events took place: He started attending a Sabbath Church but was not
saved yet. He was told many prophecies by people that he would be a pastor.  It wasn't
as though he thought prophecies were not true, but he never imagined himself as a pastor.
The Lord was already blessing his life.

Pastor Daniel Ukor married his wife Susan and also has 4 children. Being a businessman,
he was very successful at what he did. Daniel was seeking God but didn't even know how
to get him. He saw other people fast, So he decided to do it for seven days. He wanted to
know if God was really there. He wanted an answer from God, for God to reveal Himself to
him.  He figured that if he went to hell, God would be responsible, so he did all he could to
find him.  He left his family to pray at the church.

Even when he left the Sabbath Church in 1996, the pastor from that church called him to
his home and would say painfully, "The Lord is going to you mightily but not in my church."
Dan was still not convinced at that time that it was God and then another person confirmed
to him, "God is Here!"

In 1996 Daniel  was having revelations that he would become a pastor.  He bought a Bible
and read it for the first time.  He discovered that what the Bible said, the church was not
practicing (in Sabbath church). The Bible was making more sense to him. He was not
worshipping anywhere and the Holy Spirit was his teacher. He would go and question the
pastor about it. Sometimes he would spend hours asking him, also reading other books
and say, "Is this Scriptural?" The pastor could not answer him.  The pastor would try to
convince Daniel by Old Testament doctrine only.  Daniel was shown by the Holy Spirit
the new things regarding the New Testament. He always told God he didn't want to be a
pastor. He wanted to give to the Lord instead, but not as a pastor. He witnessed many
pastor's how they struggled financially, but it was 1996 that he made up his mind and his
true commitment to be a pastor.

During 1997 God spoke to him before he even got saved, "I have called him into
Umuahia into the wilderness to gather the multitude for me!" At this time he was
attending a wedding at his sister's house. There was an announcement that he was
going into full-time ministry.

Living in the city where the church was located, Daniel heard a false rumor that made
him run from his city.  A vet doctor took a loan from a bank and Daniel co-signed for
him. The doctor ended leaving without paying the loan. Dan was left with the loan. At
that time, Daniel was selling clothing and also cooking foods to make money. When
he heard the rumor that the police were looking for him, and hadn't found the vet doctor,
and Daniel didn't have the money to pay the bill, he decided to go into hiding to try to
find the Vet Doctor. He didn't want the police to find him. He wanted to work out a
solution.  While gone, the bank had written the loan off.

He found out the police were not looking for him, and returned to the city. His whole
heart and life was fully focused on the Lord. He had lost his job in the city, and so he
had lots of time with God. Something was starting to happen. He would wake up and
walk long distances alone. He would see heaven open. See all kinds of things come out
in visions. He would not understand and had no one to help him. Felt like a mental case,
but yet, was understanding it was from God.

His wife suggested that they should go to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He had
refused, because he had been to that city and knew it was hard to live there. (too many
ups and downs). He gave his heart to Jesus, when Ebonyi State was just created. He
finally said to his wife, "We will see how it goes." HIS TRUE CONVERSION:

In 1998 he and his family were attending the Assembly of God church. The pastor was
guiding him. The new church was having a crusade. At the last of the crusade, in the
morning, Daniel felt something speak to his heart. He wanted to find a handbill (poster).
He found one that was prepared for church. After the announcement that Ebonyi State
was created, Daniel decided he wanted to be a pastor.  Very serious pressure to start
was inside his heart. With no formal training, and no one to guide him.

One day a woman came to him with a prophecy. She said, "The Lord has heard your
prayers and He Is Here!" Daniel knew it was God. He had conviction!  At the point he
gave his heart to the Lord (Feb. 1998).

On one day at this time, a reverend told him to start the ministry, "What are you
waiting for?" Dan said: "I don't know where to start it; then in spirit he was taken to a
primary school. There was a hall where people were praying.  He heard God say,
"Here is where you should start!" Dan prayed to God and said, "If you give me an
apartment, I will open a church there."  Right before he prayed this prayer, One man
came with his family in the dream, and took them to that prayer hall. Dan said, "Who
told you we were going to start the church here?"  He was now persuaded to bring
people to that place and he wanted to have a place to start.

Daniel found an apartment (which is called a flat in Nigeria) that he was interested in.
Someone was looking at the same flat. The landlord changed his mind and wanted to
rent the flat to someone else, but then decided to rent it to Daniel and his family. Daniel
decided to go to Ministerial Training (any bible school he could find). He said in his mind,
any Bible school that he goes to has to have the founder there. He attending Winner's
Ministerial Training Program. He went to the program. The day of the program, a Bishop
of the church went in and said he was going to shock them. At 2am he received a call that
the program was canceled.

Dan went and told his brother, and everyone about it. They decided to all pray. They rose
early to pray and cry to God. The Lord spoke through a sister, "Did I send you to any of
these places?" "You are sending yourself to all of these places!" "I didn't send you!"  God
gave Daniel these messages and so God gave him instructions: "Go Back and Wait on
Me!" Daniel went back to his house, went to the church and told the pastor. Fasted for
three days. The Lord asked Daniel, "Is it Bible School what makes a person a pastor? Or
is it me to ordain?" God told him not to answer, but to go and ask the pastor the question.
God gave him the scripture, Matthew 6:33 "I'm sending you to go and remind my people
about my kingdom."  I told God, "I don't know how to start!" On

November 14, 1998 Pastor Daniel Ukor was ordained as a pastor.  True Worshippers
Ministry was established. They started in their apartment with four families in the parlor
(living room) of their home. On that same day, the sister at the wedding, came to Pastor
Dan's house for the first time to the fellowship. Her and her husband were the first
converts in their very first service.
