Anyway, my name is Pete Cushnie, & I take far too many pictures with my digital camera. People occasionally tell me they're pretty good, but no one's been able to prove anything yet :-)
12/4/02 - Captured images of the Space shuttle Endeavor as it follows the International Space Station. Also, added a nice new pic of an Iridium Flare. Check 'em out! :-D
12/1/02 - Check out the conjunction of Mars, Venus, & the Moon! Also, added Iridium Flares, a nice shot of crescent Venus!
11/22/02 - I managed a few shots of the 2002 Leonid Meteor Shower. Not great, but not bad, either...
11/17/02 - Be sure to check out my Star Party Adventure, featuring the Northern Lights! Yeah, yeah, sounds corny, but it goes great with the cheese :-) Also, added some new pictures to astrophotography-- a couple clusters, some of my better lunar shots, & even a pass of the International Space Station.
Highlights from the 12th Anunal Connecticut Star Party-- my first ever atronomy event & also my first time seeing the Aurora Borealis!
Amateur astronomy is great fun, & really gives you a sense of perspective with the universe, but its hard to share with those you care about because most of it happens at night, when most sane people are sleeping. So the next best thing is to capture some of those moments to share during daylight hours.
