Untitled, 6-13-01

She owns a freshly dunged garden
and knows what to bury there
She keeps a secret in her heart
and waits to lay it bear
Time has laid its mark on her
and guards her soul no more
The anguish of the years gone by
     will exit through the door
Carrying her hopes and dreams
     and youthful life as well
To her freshly dunged garden
     buried till time can tell
