Prairie View, Texas –Texas Southern (4-10, 4-0 SWAC) routed Prairie View, 14-4, 10-5 to sweep a four game series. The Tigers scored eight runs in the second inning to open up the game. Stephen Cotton went 4-5 with one home run and three stolen bases. David Bell added two home runs and Marcus Winder was the winning pitcher, hurling five solid innings with six strikeouts. In the second contest, Oddie Fields led the Tigers with a 4-4 performance with two home runs. Curt Sostand pitched six innings with seven strikeouts for the victory.
