These projects are great for children-they love to paint!  Have them paint the background color onto the doll pins and stands, and let them do details depending on their ability.  No need to glue the doll pin to the stand, it is a snug fit. Tips: Paint teardrop shaped Woodsies for Penguin or Angel (not shown) wings and glue onto the character.  The spools and wheels make great top hats! Paint the tip of a toothpick and cut it off then glue onto a face for a great nose. Glue raffia to heads for hair. Pipe Cleaners or Toothpicks with raffia tied or glued on them make brooms for witches or snowmen. Felt scraps can be used for scarves or hats.
