~ABOUT SCOUTS~
What is Scouting: Scouting is a growing, world wide youth movement with over seventeen million members. It is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all. The Scout program is a flexible range of activities adapted to the needs of the community in which it exists. Activities are based on the interest of the young people involved with an emphasis on useful skills and service to others. Many Scout Activities take place in outdoor settings with a spirit of adventure and challenge.
Scouts everywhere apply the Scout method which includes -
1.  a commitment to a code of living
2.  learning by doing
3.  small groups working together under youth leadership with adult assistance.
4.  progressive and stimulating programs of varied activities.
5.  a sense of the value of service to the community.
Scouting is a generic term to describe the program and methods of the Movement as a whole. The workforce of Scouting is the Group which consists of Sections appropriate to the needs of children and young adults at various levels.

CUB SCOUTS: are boys and girls between the ages of eight and eleven. the objective of the Cub Scouts program is to provide a group environment which is intellectually stimulating, physically vital and directed towards satisfying the childs basic needs to face and overcome challenges. SCOUTS: are boys and girls in the next age group. They must be at least 10 1/2 and may stay untill there 15th B'day. They follow a well-devised program especially suited to their level of development. Scouts learn, through there organisation into smaller units (The Patrol System), to handle themselves in a variety of enviroments. Camping and adventuruous outdoor activities form an important part of the Scout program. The award scheme demands self-control, goal-setting, physical skills, citizenship, community service, an awareness of the spiritual side of life and concern for the environment.
The Promis and Law provide moral and ethical targets and a foundation for a responsible role within the wider society.
