excerpt from My Journal

Tuesday 9/11.    The World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked within an hour.  I am watching live TV, and it's absolutely surreal!  One of the twin towers collapsed.  Apparently, the terrorists hijacked the commercial airplanes for the suicide mission.  The White House was evacuated.  Not since  Pearl Harbor was America assaulted like this.  Can one even imagine the effects this day would bring?  Just now, the remaining tower went down.  Manhattan was enveloped in smoke.  The symbol of capitalism was destroyed.  Can this be the beginning of World War III?  How a few evil minds can wreck havoc with such magnitude!  As I watched the news, I said a prayer for the departed.

I've been reading a biography by Edgar Cayce,
My Life as a Seer, in which he wrote about his next incarnation.  By the information provided, it looks like 150 years from now, New York will be in the process of rebuilding, and the western part of America will sink so that Nebraska becomes the West Coast.  So, the trials have only just begun.  After 9-11, it seems trivial to worry about finding a job, a career.  I'll do whatever to support myself, of course, but the emphasis should be on spirituality, on helping others.  One thing I learned from Mr. Cayce's book is that God is a God of action.  View the people who come in contact with you as chances you're given to learn, to serve God.  Small acts of kindness.  Selfless thoughts.  Always, eternal gratitude and praise to God.  These are clearly not the times to enjoy oneself.  Yet, have no fear.  For everything is pre-destined, pre-determined, saved for the will of man and God's grace.                                        thai ta
