Pete Conway After an emergency some were in the pacific with NASA’s failed Stardust rocket, astronaut Anthony Nelson stumbles upon a bottle, he opens the bottle and uncorks a beautiful blonde genie. Anthony tries to leave the genie behind after he is rescued, but he as unwittingly become her master. The genie known as Jeannie follows him home to Cocoa beach, Florida and Anthony finds her in his house with nothing on but one of his shirts. Anthony has to keep Jeannie existence a secret from his co-works and also his fiancee, Melissa Did You Know? This episode was filmed in December 1964 on California’s Zuma Beach, this beach can also been seen in early episodes of Gilligan’s Island At the end credit Larry Hagman was credited for the role of Captain Anthony Wilson not Nelson When Barbara Eden came out of her bottle she spoke Persian not Arabic. In the scene at Tony’s house were Barbara Eden is to jump from the arm chair on Larry Hagman, Barbara Eden missed Larry Hagman’s laps and landed face down and cut her lip on Larry Hagman’s knee, Barbara was taken away for medical attention and return the next day to work with a swollen lip.
