You will always be remembered with great love and sometimes tears
But only to feel pain and sorrow, would not be quite fair to you
You're life meant so much more to us, more than you ever knew
You were here just so briefly, that we wonder if you know
Just how much we've loved and missed you since the day you had to go
Now Lucy you're an angel, in Heaven up above
We see not only what we've lost, but our capacity of Love
There will always be a great big void, our souls will grieve forever
Will we forget or stop loving you, no not now, not ever!!!
As this sad time is upon us, our how our hearts still hurt,
But even through the pain we feel, we'll celebrate you're birth!!!
For The Newspaper
Today is the day that I have been dreading all year. Lucy's 1st birthday.
Yet she isn't here to see it.
We knew we had two choices today.
One was to spend the day crying for the time we never had with her.
The other was to celebrate the time we did have with her and the joy she brought into our lives in that short time.
We chose to celebrate her birthday and let her know just how much she meant to us and always will mean to us.
