Poem's For Daddy's
Dear Daddy

A gift for you on Father's Day
What on Earth could it be?
I know the gift you really want
Is to once again have me
Or perhaps the gift of understanding
To understand a senseless loss
I'm sorry dearest daddy
But for those gifts you'll have to ask the boss
The gifts that I can give today
Are memories both sad and sweet
From the touch of your hand on Mummy's tummy
To my tiny little feet
Remember the joy you felt inside
When you found out you were going to be my daddy?
The great big smile on your face
You were over the moon and oh so happy
Remember when you felt me move
The love and wonder you'd feel?
Remember it today Daddy
It might just make you heal
Remember the little cuddles we had
And the moments that we shared?
Remember my little hands, and the colour of my hair?
I love you dearest Daddy
And this you know is true
Just keep your memories of me alive
And I'll always live in you

Don't Cry Daddy

Don't cry for me Daddy, I am right here
Although you can't see me, I see your tears
I visit you often, I go to work with you each day
And when its time to close your eyes, on your pillow I lay
I hold your hand, stroke your hair and whisper in your ear
If your sad today Daddy, remember I am here
I know that I'm in Heaven, and cannot be with you
But you'll always be my daddy, and this we know is true
I am Daddy's little girl, we are not really apart
For everytime you think of me
I'm right there in your Heart
A Man In Grief

It must be very difficult to be a man in grief
Since 'men don't cry' and 'men are strong,' no tears can bring relief
It must be very difficult to stand up to the test
And field calls and visitors, so she can get some rest
They always ask if 'she's' ok and what 'shes' going through
But seldom take his hand and ask "My friend, but how are you?'
He hears her crying in the night and thinks his heart will break
But dries her tears and comforts her and keeps strong for her sake
It must be very difficult  to start each day a new
And try to be so very brave, he lost his child too!!
My Dad Is A Survivor

My Dad is a survivor which is no surprise to me
He's always been like a lighthouse that helps you cross the stormy sea
But as I walk with my dad each day, to lift him when he's down
I wipe the tears he tries to hide, he cries when no ones around
I watch him sit up late at night with my picture in his hand
He cries as he tries to grieve alone, wishing he could understand
My dad is like a tower of strength, he's the greatest of them all
But theres times when he may need support, so please help him if he falls
Hold his hand, pat his shoulder and tell him its ok
Be his strength when he is sad and help him mourn in his own way
As I watch over my precious Dad, from Heaven up above
I'm so proud that he's a survivor and I can still feel his Love!
Your Angel

My angel kissed away my tears
Today when I was sad
I wasn't feeling quite myself
My day had been so bad
I felt a warmth brush by me
That quickly dried my tears
A gentle, kind and loving touch
That seemed to hold me near
Immediately I felt so much better
And the day seemed brighter too
I guess thats just the way you feel
When your angel comforts you

Men Do Cry

I heard quite often 'men don't cry, though no one ever told me why
So when I fell and skinned a knee, no one came to comfort me
And when some bully boy at school, would pull a prank, so mean and cruel
I'd quickly learn to turn and quip, 'It doesn't hurt' and bite my lip
So as I grew to reasoned years, I learned to stifle any tears
Though 'be a big boy' it began, quite soon I learnt to 'be a man'
And I could play that stoic role, while storm and tempest wracked my soul
No pain or setback could there be, wrest one single tear from me
Then one long night I stood nearby and helplessly watched my daughter die
And quickly found to be surprise, that all that tearless talk were lies
And still I cry and have no shame, I cannot play that 'big boy' game
And openly without remorse, I let my sorrow take its course
So those of you who can't abide, a man you've seen, whos often cried
Reach out to him with all your heart, as ones whose life's been torn apart
For men do cry when they can see, their loss of immortality
And tears will come in endless streams, when mindless fate destroys their dreams
