"My Christmas Symptoms"
It usually begins about four weeks before,
I wait for the symptoms to appear.
And hope for the special magic once more,
The feeling of a miracle near.
I worry some, they won't arrive,
The special warmth, the happy glow.
Then with a sense of awe I thrive,
On the birthday of a Child I know.
A Child who grew to be my King,
A Man who gave me all.
A Christ who grants me anything,
No matter how great or small.
Oh! To grasp that magic glowing,
That once a year comes true.
Holding tight to the joy of knowing,
My "Christmas Symptoms" all year through!
