A Time For Pride

Standing Alone With No Reassurance?
Rest Assured I Stand Alone With You!

The following pages are excerpts from my personal thoughts and experiences in the recent WTC Tragedy which has destroyed so many of our lives, families, businesses and seriously injured if not crippled the American way of life. The devastation and destruction is much farther reaching and more damaging than you may even imagine. If it hasn’t reached you yet, or hit home as it were, then God bless you. Here in New York City as we struggle to put our lives back together and get the wheels rolling each new hour and each new day brings with it insurmountable challenge, worry, and frustration. Bundled with a crippling grief that leaves many lives shattered are the deep scars of this brutal murder both physical and quite certainly psychological, and emotional. The economic loss to this city, our nation, and to the individuals and businesses affected is astronomical. With a world set for the brink of war might we take this as any indication of what such a war will cost us all. Not only just in dollars and cents, but the lives of individuals if not whole families. Whole industries may collapse, with countries and nations soon to follow. Those in poorer countries think they have nothing to loose and those in richer parts of the world think they have the wherewithal to see it through to its end. The loss we suffered here will have a global impact which if it hasn’t reached you yet will get to you in time. We have all lost so much... Please, take the time to read my dialogue of this past week. Share it as you will with friends and family. Share in the Twin Lights Memorial and create memorials of your own. And if you want to do something more productive and useful you might consider acting now by contacting your local or national leaders to call for an end to global terrorism. Just as you would not stand to let a murderer run free in your home, town, or village we must all do our part to purge the planet of terrorists. Remember if you will, this is not a Muslim act but the actions of a madman. A madman who is by no means Muslim or even a man for that matter. Just a lonely coward who spends so much time fighting with himself that he feels the need to draw the rest of the world into his personal battle.
