To Boldly go where General Hospital Actors have
gone before
Port Charles Conquers the Galaxy!
Have you ever said to yourself, "I know I've seen that Star Trek
Actor some place. Could it have been on my favorite soap?" or vice
versa? Below are some appearances by General Hospital/Port Charles
actors on the various Star Trek programs. It is by no means
absolutely complete. We have purposely left out actors that had very
minor roles on both programs and/or did not appear on GH in the last
decade. For example Brooke Bundy, who played Diana Taylor on GH and
had a minor role in Next Gen. On the other hand, Major Players from ST
who had only minor appearances on GH are listed.
The source for most of the acting credits is that spectacular resource,
The Internet Movie Database. Some of
the actor names are linked to pictures of them appearing on the official
Star Trek Web page, Continuum which
is awfully paranoid about their stuff, so we didn't just lift it, we're
actually linking you to the official page with the picture.
- Edward Albert
Zayta - Deep Space Nine: A Man Alone
Bennett Devlin - Port Charles: 1997 - 1998
Zayta was the particularly obnoxious Bajoran who was giving Odo
a hard time when the shapeshifter was accused of murder.
Bennett Devlin was Julie's rich philandering father who was a
brilliant surgeon and the General Homicide killer's first
victim.
-
Scott Thompson Baker
Kudak'Etan - Deep Space Nine: One little Ship
Colton Shore - General Hospital: 1988 to 1990
Kudak'Etan was a Jem'Hadar who took over the Defiant
in the above episode.
Colton Shore was one of Felicia's not quite legal
husbands. He tried to kill Frisco, but only because
he'd been brainwashed. He is a cousin of Lucy Coe's.
- Felecia Bell
Jennifer Sisko - Deep Space Nine: Recurring
Simone Hardy - General Hospital: 1993 to 1997
Jennifer, Benjamin Sisko's deceased wife, was seen only in flashbacks
for the first couple of seasons, until the mirror universe coughed up
her alternate self. She appeared in two mirror episodes, and was killed
off in the second, The Shattered Mirror.
Simone Hardy was Tom Hardy's wife and mother of his son Tommy Hardy Jr..
She dumped him because of his continued absence in Africa and his
admitted affair with someone over there. He returned to Africa to try
and win her back but she was more interested in Justus. Justus lost
interest after he murdered Damian and Tom became interested in Felicia.
Simone disappeared into the background.
- Amy Benedict
Woman - Deep Space Nine: The Storyteller
Connie Cooper - General Hospital: 1995
The Woman in the Storyteller episode asked O'Brien as the
new "Sirrah" to bless her infant child.
Connie was the unfortunate occupational therapist whom Ryan Chamberlain
tricked into falling in love with him and helping him escape. He then
murdered her and left her in his coffin.

Kor - Star Trek (Classic): Errand of Mercy
Kor - Deep Space Nine: Sword of Kahless, Blood Oath
Mikkos Cassadine/Petros - General Hospital: 1980s
Kor was the first Klingon the viewing audience was privliged to
see. In Errand of Mercy he took over and governed the planet
of Organia, unaware that the natives were an advanced race
of energy beings. The character returned, considerably
older in two Deep Space Nine episodes.
Mikkos Cassadine, head of the notorious Cassadine family, is
best known for trying to freeze Port Charles with his Ice Princess
powered machine. He was flash frozen by Luke Spencer. Petros
returned to stir up a little trouble later. They were cousins,
identical cousins, and you'll find...

Nikki Cox
Sarjenka - The Next Generation: Pen Pals
Regina Cates Williams - General Hospital: 1993
Sarjenka was Data's pen pal. A child on a not quite advanced
enough for the Federation planet, which was undergoing severe
seismic fluctuations. The Enterprise helped the planet at her
request.
Regina, as she preferred to be called when portrayed by
this actress, was Jagger and Stone's little sister. She was
adopted by a well off family, and rejected Stone when she
found out he had AIDs.
- Robin Curtis
Saavik - The Search for Spock, The Voyage Home
Tallera - Next Generation: Gambit Part II
Carol - General Hospital
Saavik was Spock's half-Romulan, half-Vulan protege, orginally
portrayed by Kirstie Alley. Robin Curtis the reappeared in
a Next Gen episode as a naughty Vulan trying to use an artifact
for evil purposes.
We weren't actually privliged to see her portrayal of Carol on
GH, but we understand she was a girlfriend of the notorious Bill Eckert.
- Henry Darrow
Kolopak - Voyager: Recurring
Admiral Savar - The Next Generation: Conspiracy
DVX Colonel - General Hospital: 1987
Kolopak is Chakotay's deceased father, but Chakotay sees his
father in memories and spirit conferences.
Savar was one of the starfleet officers taken over by the invading
Alien worm thingies in Conspiracy
DVX Colonel. Never really saw him in this part. Have the vague
idea he was supposed to help with something and then betrayed
the good guys.
- Patrick Fabian
Taymon - Voyager: Favorite Son
Ted Murty - General Hospital: 1997-1998
The Voyager Episode, Favorite Son also featured Cari
Shayne (ex-Karen Wexler).
Mr. Murty was introduced as Sarah, Lucky, Nickolas and Liz's cool
English Teacher. Later Liz suspected him of being her rapist, but
he was cleared, and it was found that the only thing he was hiding
was the that he's gay.
- Glenn Walker Harris Jr.
Jeffrey - Voyager: Real Life
Sly Eckert - General Hospital: 1990-1994
He plays Jeffrey, the Doctor's holographic son, with a taste
for Klingon music, in this episode.
On GH he portrayed Sly Eckert the son of Bill (Tony Geary)
and Nancy Eckert. He was the subject of a custody suit
which Bill won. When Bill died, at Luke's return, Sly
went to live in the custody of his Aunt Jenny. Sly has
recently been mentioned, but not seen. He has a band.
-
Jennifer Hetrick
Vash - The Next Generation: Captain's Holiday, Q-Pid
Vash - Deep Space Nine: Q-Less
Veronica Wilding Barrett - General Hospital: 1998
Vash was a woman Picard met while vacation on the pleasure planet Risa.
She's an archaeologist with a criminal streak. She was
brought back to the show, by Q when he set her down in the
Robin Hood fantasy as Maid Marian. Then she returned from
a Q-powered trip to the Gamma Quadrant, through the wormhole
and on to Deep Space Nine.
Veronica is Brenda's long-lost-not-quite-dead-yet Mother. Aside
from a knack for witty repartee, Veroncia's main talents
seem to be seducing younger men, and annoying Jax.
- Penny Johnson
Kasidy Yates - Deep Space Nine: Recurring
Debbie - General Hospital: 1986
Kasidy is, of course, the lucky woman that Ben Sisko has
chosen as his girlfriend. She was a freighter captain
who was arrested for delivering medical supplies to the
Maquis. She went to rehab for awhile but came back none
the worse for wear.
Debbie was... well, we have no idea. We weren't watching
in 1986 and didn't spot her in that book. If anyone knows,
drop us a line.
-
Charles Lucia
Ramid Ves Alkar - The Next Generation: Man of the People
Mabus - Voyager: Alliances
Leopold Taub - General Hospital: 1991
Ambassador Ramid was a really popular guy. But it turned out
he liked to literally suck the life out of people to maintain
his looks, youth and personality. He almost got Deanna Troi.
Mabus, we're almost certain, was one of the Kazon that Janeway
was reluctant to form an Alliance with.
Leopold was Dominique's late and unlamented husband. He apparently
had her father killed on the day they were married. He was one of
the men behind BAFT, a bad guy organization.
- Lisa Lord
Nurse - Deep Space Nine: Nor The Battle to The Strong
Grace Sullivan - Port Charles: 1997-1998
She had a minor role in the DS9, as, (what else?) a nurse
assisting casualties after a Klingon attack. Also in this
episode as a cowardly Starfleet Officer, was Jeb Brown,
formerly a bassist for The High Lonesome. (Jon Lindstrom's
band. That is he's their former drummer.)
Grace was a kind hearted pleasant nurse, who had a thing
for sweater's just like Jessie. Her love interested, Matt
was more interested in Ellen. Grace became the second
victim of the General Homicide killer.
- Chase Masterson
Leeta - Deep Space Nine: Recurring
Ivy Leif - General Hospital: 1994
Leeta is a Dabo girl at Quark's bar, who dated Dr.
Bashir and then married the Ferengi, Rom.
Ivy, you may not remember. In order to demonstrate to
Felicia that he was still a young virile man, Mac asked
out the much younger Ivy on a date. He then flirted with
her in front of Felicia. But he and Ivy actually had
little in common, and there was no second date.
- Leigh McCloskey
Tieran - Voyager: Warlord
Damian Smith - General Hospital: 1993 to 1996
We really have fallen behind on our Voyager episodes. If you have
loads of time do head over to the Continuum for more details.
Damian Smith was a second class Villain, with an underdeveloped
character and a yen for Lucy Coe. Justus Ward bashed his head in
when Damian inexplicably set fire to Ward House.
- Leonard Nimoy
Spock - Star Trek (Classic), Movies, Next Generation:
Unification
Bernie - General Hospital: 1963
Spock... well, what can you, say? He's a cultural ikon, that
lovable half-human, logical Vulcan, with the pointy ears.
He returned in a Next Gen episode, to try and bring Vulcan
philosophy to the Romulans, and last we heard he was still
doing that.
Bernie... well, what can we say? This is way before our
time, and if it wasn't this was a small role, that doesn't
even appear to have a last name.
- Mitchell Ryan
Kyle Riker - Next Generation: The Icarus Factor
Frank Smith - General Hospital: 1993
Kyle was William T. Riker's father. They didn't get along very
well and had a very competitive relationship. But they worked
things out in this episode.
Frank the mobster was Luke's nemesis, who kept the Spencer clan
on the run for more than ten year. Luke helped him escape from
prison and then later shot him in Puerto Rico. Damian's dad.
- Judson Scott
Joachim - Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Rekar - Voyager: Message in a Bottle
Sobi - Next Generation: Symbiosis
Peter Harrell - General Hospital: Early 1980s
Whoa, how'd this guy miss doing Deep Space Nine? Joachim was Khan's
right hand man. But you won't find him in the credits, a snafu
with his manager caused him to be dropped. Rekar... well... when
we see that one we'll tell you. Sobi was one of the natives
when the Enterprise encountered two worlds, one addicted to a
drug that supposedly kept away the plague, and the other the world
that supplied it.
Peter was a nasty fellow who was allied with Sean during the Aztec
Treasure storyline.
- Cari Shayne
Eliann - Voyager: Favorite Son
Karen Wexler Cates - General Hospital: 1992-1995
Eliann was one of the native women encountered by Voyager
when Harry Kim was ridiculously summoned to repopulate
a dying planet, or something like that. Patrick Fabian
(Murty) was also in this episode.
She was the first Karen, and was immensely popular as
part of the Karen and Jagger teen supercouple. But
Karen had her problems too. Turned out to be Scott
Baldwin's illegitimate daughter.
- George Takei
Sulu - Star Trek (Classic), Movies, Voyager::
Flashback
Diem - General Hospital: 1985
Sulu was the helmsman for the original Enterprise Crew.
During the course of the Movies he was promoted to Captain.
His next appearance was in the Voyager episode Flashback.
Tuvok takes a mind-meld trip down memory lane, to the time
when he served under Captain Sulu.
Diem was on back in the days where Port Charles still
acknowledged having an Asian Quarter. He was a henchman of
the evil Mr. Wu.
- Constance Towers
Ambassador Taxco - Deep Space Nine: The
Forsaken
Helena Cassadine - General Hospital: 1997-
Taxco was one of the ambasssadors that Dr. Bashir was given
the unpleasant duty of babysitting. She was dissatisfied with
everything including her quarters, but did a 360 when Bashir
saved all of their lives.
She is the most recent Helena Cassadine, and has been up to
all sorts of mischief she got to town. She's on the outs
with the rest of the Cassadine clan, mostly because she
tries to murder them now and then. She carries on a deadly
flirtation with Luke Spencer.
