Welcome to the home of T 'n' T's Star Trek reviews. These reviews may
be a bit different than you're used to. There will be no in depth analysis
of what types of ships are used, nor battle strategies, nor bemoaning of the
existence of those silly Ferengi episodes.
Nope. What concerns us is plot, character, amusement factor, origins of
references, literary antecedents and a liberal application of our ratings
system. (See ratings below.) Please note that
we have only just started reviewing, and will add reviews as we watch or
rewatch episodes, of all three series. At the moment that means only
the beginning of the seventh season for DS9 and fifth for Voyager.
From worst to best and all the rest.
- Snail Juice
- It looks disgusting, and probably tastes even
worse. Don't touch this one with a pole from ten light years away.
- Prune Juice
- Supposedly a Warrior's drink, but nobody
really likes this stuff. Don't have any unless you're forced to.
- Tarkalean Tea
- Not very good, unless you're looking
for something weak, and unadventurous.
Run of the mill.
- Raktajino - A little more of a kick to it than the
tea, but not so out of the ordinary that you couldn't take
it every day. Likely to have something to do with Klingons.
- Samarian Sunset - A pleasant illusion. Not a lot of
substance, but very pretty, and possibly addictive. Particularly
applicable to holosuite episodes, dreams, and other events with
non-permanent effects.
- Cardassian Kanar
- Almost makes you forget
your troubles, since you're so busy watching someone elses.
Particularly applicable to in-depth character presentations
and Cardassian or Bajoran angst.
- Romulan Ale
- Great stuff. Dramatic and worth smuggling across the border if
you have to. Could have something to do with Romulans.
- Saurian Brandy
- The Best. This is absolutely the
perfect drink. Maybe even too good. Too draining to have one
every night.
