Biography |
The original idea for putting a band together came when I (Waldo) got my first guitar. It's a classical acoustic 6-string that my Gran bought me. To be honest, it's rubbish, but sadly my Gran passed away, and it now has sentimental value. We decided who would play what, and began to write lyrics for songs and organise places to practice, etc. However, people found out about our "band" too early on, and they began to take the piss, since only 2 of us could play our instruments. However, ever since then, we have constantly been gathering respect and most people now recognise us as a good band. Before the band actually got together properly, we played about with a few ideas for names. At first we were The Arachnobesities, then Blunt Pentagon, then CH4. We finally came to The Inert Elements. We stuck with it for our first 7 months as a proper band, because we felt that it described our outlook on music and life. However, we were never completely happy with it. It didn't have the necessary edge, so at a talent contest in June 2001, we announced our new name. We are Twisted Faith! Then, to improve our sound, and to allow me to concentrate on my guitar playing, we decided to find a new lead vocalist. We had 2 singers in quick succession who didn't last for very long; Ann Louise Hamilton and William Hamilton (no relation). They both had their strengths. Ann Louise had an excellent melodic voice, and Billy had his on stage abilties. However, the didn't feel that they fitted in with the bands heavy style. In steps Andrew Neary, our long time friend and fellow Metalhead. He loves the music, has a flexible, unique voice and proved he can entertain the crowd! We're now concentrating solely on original material to improved our abilities and make a difference in the local scene. As far as the future is concerned, we hope to keep on writing, keep on rocking, record our demo and get a darn record deal! We're gathering respect, and we're going to keep going no matter what.
